    For me its good phone which give atleast all day standby and good talktime. not like nokia though.

    i agree with you in totality. :clap:

    considering it has the same battery which powers 5340 with again standby time for the day and minimum calls and sms use then all its multimedia capabilty and camera will again take a toll on its battery. :clap:

    i dont think this is a phone for people who will be using the camera :D even moderately and want to have a talktime of at least one hour. :clap:

    if at all .... :) you will have to carry a battery with you as spare and as a charger tp charge the other battery too. :Sorprendido:

    guys if you differ with me .. do let me know. :clap:

    by the way 6000 and 6500 are powered by a different and powerfulbattery but still.. they are not considered enough to last for the day with its multimedia capabilities used moderately. :clap:

    i am trying to put in some likeable :GirandoOjos: ringtones in my 2865. i tried indiatimes :Decepcionado: as i said earlier toooo, only mono ringtones... i want poly or tru.... :)

    Rworld tones - mp3 format does not match with this handset, and other are not worth mentioning :NOTriste:

    humm i should better start recording songs and set them as ringtones.. :clap: what do you say.. ^_^

    I have now logged on to zedge.net :o but then i dont find 2865, :NOTriste: can anyone tell me what handset model :( number should one choose to download :GirandoOjos: the ringtone or screen saver.

    I accessed this website on 2865, it will take me some time for getting used to. :P .

    one thing i can say is the display of this handset is very pleasing to the eyes ;) ..(i.e. :grin: ). i tried putting in some jpeg and gif images but they do not give the same effect that they give on my laptop. :confuse: dont know why :confuse:

    Speed of 460.80 KBPS is of USB Cable

    means Machine and Mobile is Connected with this Speed

    But Important is Mobile to Network Speed

    which is CDMA Rev 0 = 115 Practical and 153 K Theoritical

    CDMA 1x RTT Rev A = 256 K but not Upgraded in any Contry

    by the way as i an surfing just now, i see the speed as 460.8 kbps :Confuso: and not 115 kbps as available and claimed by reliance on other handsets. :NOTriste:

    is it just the number or real improvement :grin: . because i dont see much of difference in the data tansfer. :Decepcionado:

    it shows tremendous amount of data transferred but no visible gains. :GirandoOjos:

    Can we surf to other wap sites, is it working fine & fast.

    "Surf function is disabled in most of the LG handsets since ;last 5 days, is it still available on Nokia 2865.

    For Blue tooth Just Pair the Handset with Computer

    Create a New Dialer from Start - Setting - Control Panel - Network Connection - Create New Connection and Follow following Instruction for the Option shown by Computer

    1. Connect to Internet

    2. Setup Manually

    3. Connect using Dial up Modem

    4. ISP Name = RConnect (can be anything)

    5. Phone Number = #777

    6. User Name = Your Phone Number

    7 Pass and Confirm pass as your Phone Number

    8. Click to Finish

    9. Click to Properties when Dial Windows Appears

    10. Select the Blue tooth Modem or (For DKU2 Cable Select Nokia CDMA 2865 USB Modem Instead)

    11. Click OK and Dial

    well well the opinion is honest one. :(

    standby time for the day. and upto modest use talk time for the day. :Decepcionado:

    well if somebody has to use it heavily say like 10 minutes of use for atleast 20 times in the day :Equivocado: , then this kind will not suffice. :Decepcionado:

    what do u say guys :Confuso: should i go for this handset and make do with one additional battery or go for 2865! :Decepcionado:

    I cant see any reason behind reliance site still not listing 2865.

    its better marketed without the hype.

    one thing needs to be kept in focus is that :Riendo:

    the battery life consumed with all of its functions being used for some time... :GirandoOjos: then for extended time... or totally based on endless voice calls :Confuso: . also the wallpaper ..animated. will it drain out the battery.

    these things are needed to be kept in the perspective. :GirandoOjos: keep up the good work.

    How can I set this phone to pure vibrate mode?

    ie. when i get a call, it should vibrate but not make any sound.

    Edit ur silent profile, put on VIBRATE.

    exactly its too simple. Three cheers to the Indian Spirit of R&D.

    Edit your propfile and set it to vibrate.

    can be done in any phone/ handset.

    does any of u hav got anyyyy solution to increase the inbox space ?? i can store only abt 110 msgs.. which is pretty sad..

    i dont know :confused: if the handset has a dynamic memory and if it has :smile: then you can do it but then got to contact the service center.. :wink: . btw what is the use of the message if you have read it and done with it. sorry.. no offences ment. :smile:

    one more thing you can do is if you are forwarding a message and want to preserve it too then you can save in sent and delete from Inbox as you will increase the number of messages.. unique messages in your Inbox.

    i used to save it four ways i.e. archive, inbox, and drafts n templtes ( not in my current handset though!) :clap:

    2865 is now officially available for 6400/- if the rww express is good you will even get a exchange offer.

    but web world are not promoting the phone ( :NO: ) instead nokia 6235 or lg 6330 is handed over to you.

    and yes review on 2865 is available in bits and pieces but not extensively. so pl. can. anyone do the favour and be the champion :clap:

    The moto v730 looks yuck. n it seems it is been stopped long ago.

    Yes. It seems i could not hear the customer service guys over the traffic. and moreover there is a BIG difference. The V730 hold only 200 names in the phonebook.

    some of the pics available on the net are (i dont knoe where the model is available, not even the CCare guys know :biggrinthumb: )

    I just fail to understand why reliance is not offering Motorola handsets or do they just want to make a lot of money by selling budget handsets i guess they just believe in making money. I read on the internet that Moto razr is the best selling handset of Motorola so i think if reliance do launch Motorazr it will only benefit them.. :angry:

    The fact is that Reliance knows very well that for increasing mobile density(RIM) in India you have to sell the phone to common people who earns 2000 to 3000 in a month. These people are not bothered about either Motorola or Nokia or LG. For them the cheapest one is the best. May be when they upgrade they may go for a high end handset. But by the time you already captured the market. Once you are in the net of Reliance it is not easy to get out. Therefore they are not bothered about these good or fancy handsets now. Their present mantra is to capture the market.

    I will say that reliance is the only company who knows how to capture India market. They may be selling cheap phones, but as vijayji said, thats the way one can reach to mass. Class only never pays. Mass makes you safer, not class. Class always keeps you on toes.

    I do agree with what u r saying...but all i was trying to say is that reliance users r deprived of motorazr. When Tata indicom can provide Motorazr why reliance than cant do that?

    According to the Reliance Customer Care.. Motorola V3 is now available for 6900/- but where! dont know the availability and the location.
