  1. Rcom 4g will not start till rel jio is started as per news there is no network of reliance 4g as such their sims will latch on to rjio network

So till the time rjio does not start our rel 4g wont start

And every body knows when rjio will start almost never they will keep on shifting dates till dec 2016 then finally comerciall launch in april 2017

So guys sit back and relax cdma is alive for the next 11 months

Don't scare me bro. I already purchased a handset wo bhi GSM :(

Ab to jald se jald 4G ka intezaar hai. So that I can see their poor service and move on to Vodafone or some other network.

Coz i don't have high expectations from Rcom 4G

  2. CDMA network has gone from bad to worse. And I think a lot of people might have ported out, had they not announced 4G. Infact it created a reverse emotion of finding spare CDMA sim as well to latch on to 4G. And these idiots made the best of it by not announcing the final date, and grapevine putting up one date after another. Now it is 31st May

    Sahi pakde hai!

Ye Anil Ambani se koi bhi business theek se nhi hota. Ye galat family mein paida ho gaya. Bada bhai kahan pahuch gaya ye sala wahin ka wahin.

Last time when I got a call from Reliance asking me to upgrade to 4G as services would start on 10-May. I rushed to buy a new handset.

It's already 11-May but still no date has been given for 4G upgrade.

    Tareek pe Tareek x3

  5. Today I received this message: "Dear Customer,we are upgrading to 4G. You may face intermittent network issues. We regret the inconvenience and seek support during this process. Thx RCOM".

Looks like 4g will be activated soon, and yes cdma will continue for some time. If it was to be closed with 4g launch we all would have received communication in that regard to upgrade or port else your services will be discontinued.

They are migrating all customers to 4g GSM This process doesn't req porting

since u are not moving out of Rcom

    After migration process

Customer will make calls on Rgsm 2g netowrk

    Data on 2g,3g and Jio4g 1800 and 2300 MHz

Once cdma is closed 850mhz will come in

So you mean from May 10(as informed by customer care to me today)..

    Voice calls on RGSM

2G/3G Data on Reliance 2G and Reliance 3G

4G data on Jio's Loop 4G network... Till they decide to stop CDMA and use 800/850 band for their own Reliance 4G?

    Damn, I shouldn't have registered for 4G SIM :(

Damn, I shouldn't have register my 4G Sim.

But I still have some outstanding payment, that means my number will not to migrated to 4G on 10-May

  7. There are no clarification by Reliance for close CDMA service.

Reliance do lot advertising for upgrade 4g For CDMA customers.

Rcom is watching how many cdma customers accept 4g.

If the ratio is less than reliance continues for CDMA.

If this is the case, they will have to run CDMA and 4G on same spectrum simultaneously. Is that possible?

  8. We are screwed royally by RCDMA in name of upgrade to 4G. All our lifetime plans have been reset to 2p/sec on doing the 4G FRC recharge.. instantly even till the time old CDMA SIM is active. Did 4G migration today.. Lost my lifetime 50p call rate. What a scam RCDMA doing - totally unethical, pathetic. Would port out as soon as I exhaust my 2000+ prepaid balance. Enough of this. What's the point of being on worst network of RGSM with calling rate of 2p/s.

    Prepaid number or Post paid?

    Which circle?

  9. As everybody wants to jump to 4G bandwagon as soon as possible. My compulsion to change handset as CDMA will stop working soon coz my Sprint HTC One M7 wont support 4G.

So I was planning to buy Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (Single Sim/32GB) from India.

These days there's 10% Cashback offer from Samsung. So Note 5 would cost me appx Rs. 35000~36000.

This offer is valid till 15-May. Should i buy now or wait for CDMA to shutdown and 4G to start??

  10. Just now I spoke to Reliance Customer Care. *222

The customer care guy told me this...

    a) They do not have specific date for launch of 4G in Delhi, but they say its "very soon". Hope it's not Reliance Jio's "very soon" ^^

    B) Right now I just need to register my CDMA number to new 4G sim. (by sms or call to 1299)

    c) My CDMA number will remain active for some time.

    d) The day 4G is launched... CDMA will stop working and I can start using Reliance 4G thru new sim.

And yes, he told me that CDMA and 4G cannot coexist. CDMA will stop working, then only 4G will start.

  11. Cdma will coontinue to work

U will get a sms that the 4g is active please change sim

Also they will send msg on alternare number

My cdma no i still working although already got 4g sim

And i hope the cdma will also continue for the time all cdma users are migrated

The 4G sim is now working on GSM/2G/3G only. If you search networks available on your handset, you will not be able to find Reliance 4G (at least in Delhi).

I went to Reliance Web World and asked them for a 4G demo, they said that 4G Data cards have not yet arrived. And 4G will be launched anytime soon.

But no tentative date was given for shutting down CDMA in Delhi.

  12. Hi! I am in Mumbai and have a cdma postpaid connection. I received my 4G LTE sim today through Bluedart. I have bought the RN3 but yet to receive delivery.

I have a couple of questions if anyone can answer.......

    - Now that I have received the 4G SIM card, should I proceed to register through SMS as per their instruction or should I wait till I have received delivery of my new mobile?

    - If I were to proceed with the registration, will I be able to continue using the CDMA connection on my current mobile, or will the CDMA SIM be deactivated immediately?

    Thank you.

I think you need to have a GSM or 4G handset before you register thru SMS as per their instructions.

Once you register, your CDMA sim will stop working and GSM/4G sim will start.

  13. Today I put my Reliance 4G LTE sim into a 4G handset of my friend to check whether 4G network is there in Delhi or not.

As in first pic you could see that SIM 1 do not show any bars, rather there is 'X' mark.

    IMAG0511.jpg
And there is no Reliance 4G network.
Only Loop 4G, Airtel 4G and Vodafone 4G
    Not even Jio in Delhi.
    IMAG0512.jpg
    IMAG0513.jpg
Oh, just checked now that the handset of my friend is Lenovo S90 and it has only Band 1, 3 and 41.
Maybe that is the reason handset shows no network.

  14. Anyone has switched to reliance 4g LTE from CDMA yet?

Where are you located, and how's the experience?

The service is yet to be launched and before that your CDMA SIM would get deactivated.

So you mean in order to launch 4G Services (in real), they first have to deactivate/stop CDMA services? Both services cannot go together for some time and then completely switch to 4G?

  15. So I shouldn't rush and switch my handset to 4G LTE? Rather stick with RCDMA?

I'm in Delhi circle, and customer care person told me that 31-May is last day of CDMA in Delhi. Whereas the reliance store guys didn't have any such knowledge that when CDMA service would be terminated.

I'm confused, coz I really don't want to change my CDMA handset for about coming 6-8 months.
