I had a problem like this once, I took the card to my neighbourhood tech shop. He used some software to reflash the card and voila it started working. You can search for this kind of software on the net and try to this yourself.

What about a Group SMS software like SKB Group SMS? Why has it been left out...

Go for HTC Touch in GSM. Fantastic Windows Mobile 6 Phone. Very Small in size (compared to other WM Phones) comparable to normal Nokia/Sony phones. Has WiFi in GSM, Micro SD support upto 32GB, and all other features which you want along with a unique iPhone like TouchFlo system which is very unique, etc. etc. Should cost around 15-16K. I think that is much better deal than any of the Nokias or Sonys.

Did you not take the phone from Sadik? Contact him, he may suggest a way. Or you can contact Arun or Karki (ashoksoft). His phone no. was there in some recent thread.

Escalate this problem with some higher Sony Official at their corporate/regional office. I dont know about Mumbai, but once I had a problem with a Sony system here in Delhi and when the service centre was dilly dallying, I escalated this problem with Sony's Mathura Road corporate office. They understood the problem and solved it without charge. Same you can try and do and explain to them that it is just 4-5 days over warranty and they have the power to do it. Only thing is your problem should reach the correct person handling Service in Sony at their Regional Office at Mumbai.

@hetaldp / @arun - Just sold my 6700 and planning to transition to 6800. Could you please guide me as to what all I have to do before shipping my 6700 so that when I receive my 6800, all my data comes back. Like e.g.- 1. Backup my contacts to Outlook - Will they be properly restored in 6800 without any problems (because I have go lots and lots and it will be impossible to make written backup) 2. How to backup my SMS's - through PIM Backup? - will it be restored in the new version 6800? 3. I will copy my other data like photos etc. of Mini SD card to my Computer 4. Anything else you suggest is necessary?

I have heard that Alarms and Reminders do not sound on this phone, when it is on charging with the screen switched off? Is this true? Also the speakerphone volume is very low? Actual users please elaborate!
