I had the connection myself. I cancelled the connection. they also give you a router to convert wimax to wifi. I forgot to tell you. But you wouldn't have been able to test as you need an active account. they don't give you immi demo. -

EVO 4G shipped with improperly grounded displays? http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2010/06/14/evo-4g-shipped-with-improperly-grounded-displays/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheBoyGeniusReport+%28Boy+Genius+Report%29 Apart from scattered complaints that the glass display on the HTC EVO has a tendency to separate from the devices housing, word from xda-developers is that the EVO likely suffers from the same poorly grounded capacitive display issues on another popular HTC device, the Droid Incredible. What this means that is if an EVO with an improperly grounded display is placed on a flat surface, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to operate. But complete the connection by placing a finger on the side of the display and — voilà! — the issue goes away. We should be perfectly clear and say that not all devices suffer from this issue, but from what we’ve read it seems that this is a real problem that needs to be jointly addressed by HTC and Sprint. How is your EVO’s display functioning? [Via Good and EVO]

@GK The best is to setup WiFi with bridging routers. If you don't want to spent that much and have router then the only best option is to pull CAT6 cable to the other end and setup new router. It can give ips from the original router. I use Airtel broadband in the same way. Tikona Tikone is WiMax or 4G. This is similar to what Reliance Wimax is being offered. It's on the same basis. Reliance is also giving a router which gives internet through WiFi.

http://www.blackberrycool.com/2010/03/23/leaked-blackberry-messenger-version-5-0-0-65-available/ There is a leaked version of BBM 5.0.0.65 courtesy of Nathanix circulating that may have some performance fixes over the official version 5.0.0.57. It could also come with some performance deterioration as this is unofficial software. The only way to tell is by checking it out. Anyone taking the plunge with me?

http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/24/china-telecom-launching-palm-pre-blackberry-handsets-this-summe/ China Telecom launching Palm Pre, BlackBerry handsets this summer By Darren Murph posted Mar 24th 2010 2:36AM We've been hearing that China Telecom would be grabbing hold of Palm and RIM's respective stables of smartphones since early last year, but at long last we've some official quotes to prove those whispers correct. According to a new report over at the Wall Street Journal, Chairman and Chief Executive Wang Xiaochu has affirmed that it will offer an undisclosed amount of BlackBerry devices in China this May, while Palm's Pre (no word on the Pixi) will hit this July. These deals could certainly bode well for the carrier; as it stands, it's going up against China Mobile -- which already sells BlackBerry handsets -- and China Unicom, which is home to Apple's iPhone. Unfortunately, pricing details weren't available, but we're guessing those will pop sooner rather than later. Pre Central Wall Street Journal

I was sitting with MTNL techies and they couldn't do anything about it. My vodafone is working fine on magic. If there was a settings problem then Vodafone should not work on magic.

Is this good for Magic? Would this ROM be sluggish?
