Nice to see the logo of 3G on N1. I have MTNL 3G but not getting through the data connection. Not even EDGE. I sat with their technical team but nothing. They couldn't do it. Let me know the settings for BSNL. Also if someone has got through MTNL on android. yes. stay ahead.

Hello Friends, Finally I've a solution for dialing numbers in international format. There's an application called idialplan. This can be installed on pre and party begins. No more not being able to dial an international format number. I have HTC Magic. This is an amazing phone. It syncs very well with google which all know. Something interesting which I want to share is that I made lots of changes in my contacts. Finally I imported my contacts back in google contacts. To my surprise I was seeing double on the phone. I talked to Hetal and he suggested on deleting the contacts from contact manager. After doing that all my contacts came back to single. This was too good. Getting back on track without formatting. I've not seen this in any of other phones. Thanks Hetal.

I think std code should be 3 digits, 7 digit number and add 9. Atleast we would have uniform numbers.

I agree to what you are saying but its not the same case with iPhone and even the service providers dont have the settings for iPhone as i have myself faced it. Even Apple hasn't incorporated the settings for all the providers but Airtel and Vodafone has been incorporated into their software because it is officially launched in India. After putting a sim when you check which network you are in(inside settings and then About) then for Airtel and Vodafone it shows their respective names but for others it shows Carrier x.0(x depends upon the version of software you are using in your iPhone). Apple has indeed made a very complicated thing. The automatic settings come up only in lower end phones and phones like Nikia. I have iPhone from vodafone, the apn default is iPhone but I use www. Also with htc magic the setting don't come up automatically. I have the new sim card from vodafone. Mtnl also the setting on iPhone does not come up automatically.
