dude, it depends on an individual's usage pattern. Its possible, that something that is good for 1 person, might not suit ur usage pattern. As someone mentioned earlier, if u want to make many STD calls, then obviously Joy399 n Joy499 can be a boon to them. they can stop using their landlines n make the calls from RIM. But if u dont, then u r wasting 500 bucks a month on rentals. So ask urself, wht kinda usage u wanna do. When u r paying something like 500 as rentals. Ur bill shud be nothing less than 1000-1500 henceforth, only then it will show that u r making a perfect use of the Plan!

U'd get a 324 bucks refill and talktime of Rs. 300 on tht. Rest 24 go for taxes. Secondly no where have they mentioned abt their SMS rates! So dont be quite sure tht they'd give SMS @ 1 buck! U jus never know whts happening in this dynamic industry! Yes they r billed obviously to the operator! But, it is said to be billed for every min n not for every second! and hence they want to bill the same to the customer. If u see the recent BPL call rates, it clearly indicates how it works! 1p/sec + 60p/min is their call charge! So even if u talk for 3 secs.. ur call charge becomes 63p ! Now who wud know better than TRAI on this! If u have tht kind of time, do visit TRAI website n maybe u'd find details. But as u mentioned, BPL is not really offering per sec pulse. TATA is... but ..... blah blah... (tired )

All Tariffs tht have been recently announced are Subject to TRAI Approval. Even TATA had started 15sec pulse. but they slowly withdrew it! MTNL was asked to withdraw its 12 sec pulse (WLL service) long back, by TRAI. All u can do is wait n watch. Does TRAI anymore take interest in TARIFFs? Not heard from TRAI since long abt sacking or interfering with TARIFFs these days! Guess, they r busy with CABLE TV rights these days!

TATA indicom has infact a very simple Tariff.. The most simple i cud have ever seen... 5p/sec for any outgoing call Local or National.. And the same 5p/sec for any incoming call while Roaming! couldn't be more simpler to understand! When i read jus 5p/sec... i wanted to know how they r goin to get 60p/minute minimum to pay the offnet charges.. And thts when my mind started moving.. Say, any average call wudn't last less than 12 secs? agreed? and hence 12x 5p = 60p.. which they will eventually need to pay. But remember.. as ur call reaches 20 secs, i.e. u've spent, 100p... anything beyond that, gets so damn expensive. By the time u reach 60 secs, u've spent 300paise! Well thts surely quite expensive!! Who wants to pay that much for a local call?? Thts where i guess, they can fail !! They cant match to RIM's PREPAID Tariff on those fronts! Neither for outgoings nor for Roaming!

With their new POSTPAID2PREPAID scheme n Outright Purchase Scheme, i dont think they can have any more right over the phone! all that they can bargain wid us is to keep the s/w of the maufacturer! Looking at wht i read i can tell u something... U CAN GET UR NOKIA 2280 & MOTOROLLA C131 to run on TATA!! Now how? Check it out from a TATA Service Center... But this is wht i read... Though i've never seen Moto C131 having a SIM Slot... God knows wht they've come up wid. Just confirm frm a TATA Center whether a REL PREPAID connection be converted to a TATA PREPAID. Tell them that u own the handset under PREPAID. I dont think they shud mind!

Otherwise u can also have higher PREPAID refills!! For DAPO users International SMS is Rs. 2/- Moreover, Old Budget Users will be kept on Old Tariffs till further notice! Thnx to TRAI's ruling of Six Months! But these plans are no more avl for new connections.. Hence they are called WITHDRAWN! Whenever RIM upgrades R-world, Its best to RESET R-MENU from our end, such that we are able to view it properly! But those duhs dont inform us to RESET R-MENU and we keep getting hassled! Anyways, even after resetting my R-MENU, Greetings section is not loading! Any other news on the PAID R-World Charges?
