i have heard they r planning on some package deal for their customers. For example a small wire that pops in ur home/office will offer Telephone with 2 parallel connections and cable TV and cable Internet.... Any idea how far this has gone? and wht would be its cost?

This last one seems interesting as wht Neel mentioned. I had never looked into the FWP rates! has anyone tried the MTNL's new Rs.700/- internet phone connection? They say u can use unlimited 24x7 by paying just 700/- a month! plus a tel connection with free incoming calls... let me know wht kinda speeds u get there..

i hope so... because once when i called them they told me that sir ur bill amt is Rs. 33,130!!!! out of which Rs. 130 is ur extra charges and the rest are Club membership charges!!!" lol .... it was Ridiculous... I told them "Sir, i think u should throw ur computer off!! hahaa" I said "u send me the bill and u'll face legal action".. so he said, "Iam sorry sir, it seems to be some problem with the application, incase u get this bill, pls visit the nearest WebWorld and my colleague there, would help u" !! This was all so ajeeb!! hehe.. .. poor Cust Care guys!!

i dont believe u guys have all the time to do this!! well, this problem is present with GSM operators too... all ur frenz having prepaid cards might definitely be telling u abt all this. So theres no point discussing all this. rem that every operator is goin to charge u for every call u make, maybe sooner or later. And a 50-100 bucks here n there in 2-3 months is expected!

oh oh.... that means there'll be a lot of change in the mobile no.!! i'll lose this fantastic no. that i have got it changed to!!

yeh i'll get that reset soon. Its been quite a problem now! As far as tht RBILL is concerned, the cust care says that they have switched on the application to show the Bill on my R-World section from their end. And now if i am not able to see it then thts the problem with my handset. They suggested that i go to the nearest LG Service Centre and get it rectified. I think the two problems abt my handset are associated somewhere with each other....

i have got this weird problem in my LG2030 handset ver15. I had recd a msg in Hindi from a frnd who had a Samsung handset in which they can msg in Hindi as well. I obviously was not able to amend that msg because tht facility is not in Lg handsets. But once i fwded that msg, since then, my handset has been behaving absolutely weirdly! whenever i am typing a msg in the T9 mode some hindi letters get typed instead of English ones! or the msg window gets hung and i have to press the END key to close the msg window and lose all the typed data! for the last 4 months i have been complaining to R-Cust. Care to switch the RBill application on my handset. They did that in December but am still not able to access it. When i enquired they say, that they have completely switched on the application from their end and if i cant view it, then its a problem with the handset! Has anyone encountered such a similar problem??

i guess, Reliance wants to keep all the extra fringes like the value added services to themselves only so tht they dont have to part with their revenues. But in this bargain, its not able to provide enuf to its customers overtime!

The GTRAN GCP 4020 handset is not listed on the RIM website! y so?

he doesn't rem the model nos. of such phones any more, because he had made a trip to that exhibition abroad a year back... well so Nokia 2280 should be R-UIM enabled, because there is a slot of the sim to fit in, right?

there are tonnes of such other glitches that have been hapening on these sick LG and SAMSUNG models.. u can write pages on them.. no use!! u can at the most complain abt them, but its taking Reliance ages to rectify such things coz of their huge customer base that is more and more demanding!

The Nokia 2280 handset should be first one to provide R-UIM service, right?

Can u give more insight on this R-UIM ??? meaning, how do u actually connect to that?? coz i always felt that the slot in the Nokia handset should be for a GSM sim card, since i had heard from a close frnd that in singapore, hongkong, there are phones available for dual use(GSM as well as CDMA).... how far is that true?

hmm... but its still sick.. meaning, u have WLL Players to have their own access codes like 93(Reliance), 92(bharti WLL), 97(TATA).... and operators like HUTCH who too have huge customer bases to still be along with the small players in the same 98 access code!! thts so stupid... In Mumbai Orange(HUTCH) finished its numbers from 98200xxxxx to 98209xxxxx and was now given the new numbering system of 98190xxxxx to 98199xxxxx!! initially i thought i am calling a user in Delhi! because of 981xx xxxxx! Its getting more and more confusing... its better that TRAI finalises this numbering system once and for all so that there is lesser number changes in near future... am alright with this change only if our nos. become similar to wht other GSM operators are... or like wht BSNL customers' are... It should simply be a 10 digit no. now with no further prefix of STD codes. then if i have to dial a reliance no. in Mumbai (my city) i can dial 93xxx xxxxx and any outstation nos. should be dialled as 093xxx xxxxx Simply put, life has to be simpler!

This WAP enabled is good only when u want to instantly talk to someone whom u expect tht moment. but its not worth all the effort to reach that IM aplet!! lol... its so long a process and have to make so many attempts! Hope reliance ties up with YAHOO n MSN formally to allow the SMS enabled messenger service!
