    if u ready to spend rs 6000 for new airtel HD HDR and then saving just 200-500 in annual subsciption then it is not great idea.

    Airtel has 14hd channels compared to TS which has 8.

    if u find ur most demanding channel missing in TS and present in airtel, then u can think of.

    Otherwise airtel also facing problem of tp, recently they droped two hd channel( utv star and cnbc prime hd) and replace with zee hd and zee cinema hd.

    audio quality is worst in airtel compared to tata, but picture quality is better in airtel.

    when i was implementing this.

    first attached 2 m cable and tested it works.

    then i removed that testing solution and attached 15m cable , then sensor wont work, then brought new good quality sensor of higher cost, and it works for 15m.

    so i think in ur case, u can use 40m wire of best quality and sensor of best quality, regarding current, i dont think it would be a problem, bcoz we press remote button only 10% of viewing time, that is if we watch 120minutes, then we handle remote only for 10-12minutes.

    Does any one tried using BSNL cdma or EVDO in J & K?

    i had good experience with bsnl cdma prepaid.

    It was working in katra, but i thing in katra only 1x coverage is thr.

    so speed was low.

    But i was able use internet on my samsung corby handset with my bsnl EVDO prepaid sim.

    I had visited 2 months back.

    so hitesh bhai, buy a BSNL EVDO sim from me and get ur work done.

    but dont expect that incoming or outgoing call or sms.

    in jummu , EVDO coverage was thr, and data working at EVDO network

    while travelling in train many times EVDO signal comes and goes away after 10-15min, but 1x covrage was there for 98% of time, when train was running in J&K State

    i have successively done this 2 year ago, but now bayed multi tv and spending rs 160.

    follow the steps below

    1) buy a RF or AV cable with suitable length so that u can make connection from STB in one room to TV in other, in my case i used RF cable, bcoz other TV was CRT.

    2) buy a good quality cable with 3 wire, like one we generally used for audio cable of Hi-Fi system

    3) buy a good quality remote censor

    4) open STB from screw on back side.

    5) from current remote censor attached to PCB/board of STB, you will find that in front panel of STB, which used to glow when we press any remote key

    6) u need to make parallel connection like current censor output and new censor output shud match in 1-1 , 2-2, 3-3.

    7) now it ready( sorry close box with screw)

    8) run RF cable and this censor cable from STB to other TV. U can Stick censor on any top corner of other tv , it work.

    today i had called *355 and spoke with CC.

    he told me following things

    1) give ur existing or new mdn of netconnect( 1x)

    2) tell ur area STD code, so we will activate that plan for u, u can request for deactivation or change of STD code any time in future.

    3) unlimited internet at 1x speed is available

    4) plan are rs169-30days, 429-90 days or 1099(or might be 1199)-365 days.

    5) we have database of STD code, against which we will activate it or u can do same process from any web world.
