  1. Just checked with CC

MNP will come to Chennai on 13th December 2010 and for RoTN, it will come on the 18th December 2010

But Kumar sir, TN and Chennai was made single circle long ago and I have seen posts of Kesav in old MNP thread that "DoT has got back the extra LRN (or whatever) number from BSNL and TataIndicom, so that Chennai and RoTN users will have same LRN number".. If that is the case, MNP launching date for both Chennai and RoTN should be same, right??? Or I am missing something??? :confuse:

    Dear Friends,

It's bit tricky situation in Tamilnadu.

As for as the tariff is concerned, it's mandatory that tariff should be like a unified circle. This fact is known to everyone.

But license-wise, There are 2 different types of operators in Chennai & RoTN

    (1) Operators who work in unified license -- BSNL, TTSL(Indicom+Docomo), Idea, Videocon, Unior etc.,(sorry..I don't have complete list)

    (2) Operators who work in 2 different licences for Chennai & RoTN separately -- Aircel, Airtel, Vodafone etc.,(sorry...I don't have complete list). You might have noticed roaming symbol for these operators when you move to Chennai from RoTN or vice-versa.

    According to DoT,

RoTN number can be shifted only to another RoTN/Unified license holder.

Chennai number can be shifted only to another Chennai/Unified license holder.

Unified number can be shifted to another Chennai/RoTN/Unified license holder.

To given an idea on what is not possible, Chennai Aircel number cannot be shifted to RoTN Airtel.

But whether phone works in RoTN Airtel or Chennai Airtel is going to have no difference for the subscriber.

    WOW Awesome Reply;-)

  2. Purchased the phone 2 days back @ 1990 Rs

The phone is simply amazing....Guys .. For those who dont wana take the pain of frequent charging, this is the best handset available in Indian CDMA market.

    Wat I like

    1. The jumbo battery - I am using the phone for the last 2 days. Not even opened the seal of charger.(bcoz I wana drain out the whole battery charge) :Sorprendido: Still now the phone battery indicates a single bar :SI:

2.Good quality and Sturdy built body

    3. Glossy black color

    4.Good sound output

    5 Good signal reception

    6.Hexagonal navigation key

    7. good sound quality in Ear phones (I have compared with my sennheiser 3.5mm through Samsung CORBY's Ear set. Samsung Ear phone delivers 90% quality of sennheiser )

    8.Big screen

    9.Cricket game

    10.Auto changing wall paper

    11. Customizing Key pad light. (You can set the time for keypad light ON/OFF)

    12.Mobile tracker.

    13. Good visibility in sunlight.

    14. FM programme reminder

    15. Good Torch Light

16.SMS blocking and Call Blocking facility

    and lots

    Wat I Dont like

1.FM recording memory is too short

2.The Funky red strips in sides and Speaker color

    3.The Bulky design and weight.

    4.Rubbery Key pad.

5.No direct mp3 ringer support (u can record FM clips and use as ring tones).

    Best review.........

  3. This is really too much stupidity. I am not getting payee confirmation SMS from ICICI and I need to transfer money urgently. Always used to get it instantly. But not getting it now even after 5 tries of adding/deleting the payee.

According to http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/news-by-industry/telecom/SMS-ban-Telcos-told-to-exempt-banks-airlines/articleshow/6623590.cms banks and airline services have been exempted from this blanket ban..

Edit: Just learn't that the telcos will not comply with this request.

No its wrong i got msg from my bank KVB about the ban.
