Relaince ki yehi mentality to change karvani hai... Boycott such handsets... If US market can get Incredibles and Evo/ Moto Droids-X for about 500$ (say 25K), why not us??? Actual change is needed at the end of the manufacturers and not service providers. HTC isnt bringing complete stable to india , not even in gsm. Motorola has almost closed their handset market in india. Nokia hardly brings their cdma to india. Even these companies can launch their omh handsets like samsung is doing. Without being bothered to tie up with service provider before hand.

Yes, Samsung quality is disappointing... I handled their "so called" top ace Samsung Galaxy-S (GSM) yesterday and came out quite disappointed.... The interface lags... except the super amoled nothing else was in place... are we so deprived that we should lap whatever we get?? consumer should have a say... this attitude encourages Reliance to take us all for a ride... There is no scope for comparison. lg is a simple touch multimedia phone where as galaxy is a android smartphone. jar apps can be run on lg and millions apps can be run on galaxy. you get all the standard features of any smartphone on galaxy, 32gb support, wifi, gps, email client, etc etc. it depends on your need, why do you want a evdo phone???

there is a difference in loving something and being fanatic about it god knows what all operating systems i have fiddled with. mobile is just a new venture all together. i can bet all the android users here first had a windows mobile for smart phone.

being a gizmo freak I recently added the samsung yp-p3 to my stable. after lot of extensive research across the globe I ended up choosing it to satiate my desire for a all new concept. samsung yp-p3 looks a lot like your cowon S9 and has a ipod touch capacitive touch. it has a small mono speaker on the top which works okish inside a room but its full of animations and the screen looks marvelous. The sound is pure pleasure to the ears through supplied headphones. It can be synced through supplied and downloadable emodio as well as wmp. but it also works as a msc device meaning it detects in your my computer as a drive. so you can simply drag and drop your music, ebooks, phonebook, pics, videos, etc. It natively supports a resol of 480*272 pixels and the videos look fantabolous. another thing i loved was the tts support to read out your books in txt form with a clear and well paced voice. The most charming thing was that you can not just transfer files over bluetooth but also connect any of your basic bluetooth phone which supports headset connectivity. if you wondering why do that, then you ll be amazed to find that you never have to take out your handset again except to attend or send sms. it takes calls plus dials for you. the voice was clear. so next time you are enjoying your music quietly during a commute or journey. or enjoying a scenic place with your headphones you wont miss a call or would have to take em off to make a call. the p3 would just fit the bill. it comes in 8 and 16 gb makes. now though on most of the sites you would find it priced around 11.5 k to 12.5 k but at indiaplaza.in you get it just for 7.2 k its a steal. read reviews on cnet. i compared it essentially with offerings from creative, iriver, cowon and apple. obviously the choice remains yours. but all those friends who are stuck with cdma or gsm handsets in some cases can lay hands on something diversely advanced in decent budget can jump to buy this one.

I was recently flipping through wikipedia and I found it says that both touch pro and touch pro 2 can support upto 32gb micro sd card. Has anyone tried it before? I think coming from wiki we can trust, its the best source of info. Also in support I have come across few articles randomly which say that any machine which can support SD HC can support cards upto 32 gb irrespective of whats mentioned as SDHC technology supports natively high capacity cards. I totally agree that iphone os is a blunder and there are a myriad things making it unacceptable not just the price you pay. bluetooth incompatibility with other phones, earlier cut, copy, paste was not there MULTITASKING was a huge weakness but anyone planning to buy now or has already bought, should be overjoyed for the launch of os 4 with which at least multi tasking is no more an issue. you can be assured that it will be a smartphone first time and finally. but right now you could easily say that Android has been in the fast lane while iphone os and windows mobile are in the pit lane to get serviced .....lol

For those who use smartphones for business use then only touch pro 2 saves the day. I mean practically if you are traveling a lot and your work depends on emails, word, excel, etc. Then with the five row keyboard on tp2, life cant get any more swift. Its indeed one of the best keyboards on smartphones. As for the sluggishness on any windows mobile handset I have already mentioned in other posts, guys please use HTC clean Ram by HTCaddicts.com . its a very popular and must have app for any windows phone. Its just like we always have to tweak our windows OS on pc too. But just based on the sluggishness we cant deny the ample other benefits this popular platform has, thats why its so widely used. i fail to comprehend your confined knowledge. with due regard to your expertise. tell whoever you have seen using tp2 to upgrade to the latest rom available across the globe. let me add dear that touch flo 3d was long ago quit by users everywhere to more advanced Sense UI 2.1 & 2.5 Also to add even the original carriers are using windows mobile 6.5 now. Touch flow 3d was shunned with windows mobile 5 only. For any amateur user on windows mobile let me inform once again. windows by microsoft has been sluggish on every platform even on pcs. only with the dawn of windows 7 are we seeing some improvements but for starters there is a very popular application called HTC clean RAM which is a must for windows mobile to get rid of the so called sluggishness. its seems you guys have not even tweaked ever with the windows running on your desktop, you have to always tweak your OS to get optimum performance. as far as the new baby android is concerend, you must know that the hero is not equipped with a proximity sensor, so it won't lock the screen when you hold it up to your ear during phone calls where as tp2 has it. and you tell me that i have not used it but you have used both. how would you justify not being able to upgrade it to the latest and much updated android version 2 instead of being stuck on 1.5 which hero has. the poor battery life in comparison to tp2. the lack of world phone capability so you dont remain stuck just on cdma even after spending so much. what do you do when you system memory reaches its limit and you still have more things to install. i guess probably you guys never even install 3rd party apps. guys no personal grudge but you seem to be newbies to me as far using smartphones is concerened. i know the looks have all the jazz but we arnt ladies. if you are tech savvy hero with such limitations cant suffice. its still is in its developing stage. there's no syncing software to help you manage and transfer your music. As it is right now, you have to use the old drag-and-drop method using the USB cable. It'd also be great to have a file manager so we could more easily find files from our SD card. if you regret having used tp2, contact me for possibilities beyond your imagination. things you can put to use. after having used touch pro 2 for a while now but extensively. i can confirm its a brilliant handset and unlike hero the android phone, you dont have to remain stuck to little system memory to install applications. instead in windows mobile you can install stuff on your memory card. another thing you will notice that android has way too much ui customization which ends up complicating a normal user. as not all people look for smartphone just to fiddle with it all the time. windows mobile saves the day here and with brilliant htc sense UI, you never get lost or too much to change. its friendly and beautiful. the only reason essentially you will find users looking down upon windows mobile is its sluggishness. But let me assure you that if you download htc clear ram from htc addicts site. then this issue is taken care of . after its just party time. curently i m playing sony experia advanced games on this phone. using citibank mmobiloe software, dictionaries, voice commands, email, almost everything you need. yeah not forget fring to chat with my goodle, msn, friends. good luck.
