  1. I have given Nokia 6275 to cool aditya and he received the same. I have the remaining Blackberry 9630 and it was programmed to Relaince, If you can able to programme it to Tata I will give it to you. Let me know. You can come and take it from me.

I am interested in bb9630 if it's a world phone (gsm support). My maid will be very happy.

  2. I have three new LG LS665  MOBILES virgin mobile with CDMA and LTE, but i am unable to use with reliance jio, if any one can help me to use it with JIo, I can give one of it free.

It's a thread for free give away "without any obligations" and if you are looking for unlocking solutions then look elsewhere.

  3. My dad has been using this phone since CDMA days. He had no issues at all with CDMA roaming data. But ever since rcom 4g upgrade there is no data on roaming , only calls go through. He has recently done mnp to Vodafone and it's still the same. Everything works fine in home circle.

I even checked for roaming guard settings but they aren't where HTC and sprint websites suggest. It's not rooted or unlocked. Kindly help and suggest what to do. Didn't find much on Google except some expose module for roaming control after root.

If gsm data works in home circle then it should work in roaming as well.

Looks more like a network issue for me. Further to get jio join [or 4g voice app] to work flawlessly, the 4g speed in that particular place must be decent enough. If the 4g speed was very slow and network was congested, it will not work.

But that is not the case for volte in volte enabled phones. Because volte works in network level, but jio4g voice works in application levels like Skype / Viber...

you are right, jio4gvoice needs data on to work where as volte is not data dependant to work. in fact in my experience its smoother to call on volte.

lot of times other network numbers dont connect in one go, but if you keep auto redial on (if your phone supports) then in within seconds it tries multiple times and the success rate of call connecting increases. no issues on calling other rcom or jio numbers, they connect almost instantly.

Thanks. Can we use Indian credit card?

only if your card is valid for international use i.e. foreign currency payment. if the store accepts international card as billing address info has issues otherwise. if it doesnt match then payment doesnt go through. read payment policy where you decided to buy from for international card acceptance.

  6. official news about special/vanity numbers for jio is this.

the biometric ekyc sims that are given arent having prealloted numbers currently. once your sim activates their backend system gives you a number randomly. in coming future all these establishments with ekyc facility will be shown available numbers with respective costs to choose from. you dont have to call or have to know someone in their office to find what numbers are there.

while taking the sim, their app will show all the possibilities which you can easily book by making immediate payments.

P.S. bsnl has a dedicated website to choose your own number circle wise and book it by making online payment.

  7. i just realized that if your handset is one of the official volte supported by jio

then you can make calls even when data is off. tested on Mi5 it works perfect.

i love the fact that now i can do call conference as well which my prepaid rcom 4g sim doesnt allow.

  8. Guys sorry to say but you are all going about it slightly off direction. Having all supported lte bands unlocked and volte feature enabled in your phone is simply not enough.
VOLTE works only and only on devices that the carrier explicitly supports. Your imported handsets are unlocked but model numbers would never match on your Indian carrier. You can benefit from LTE data and jio4gvoice app.

  9. No need to uninstall the app.  The jio sim will work on all the phones where you have jio voice configured. There is no need to uninstall the app or verfiy otp also.
Once you do that the sim works in all those phones where you have jio voice setup. This has been tried and tested by me. I have used the same jio voice sim in 3 device with jio voice app and it worked fine. Used in One plus One, Moto E Xt1526 and Redmi 2 Prime. On all the 3 devices it works fine, i can swap it anytime and it works, it does not ask to verify OTP.

Just wondering if it's possible to backup Jio voice app with data once it's activated. So it can be installed in a phone without putting sim. Specially our CDMA paper weights.
    Just a wishful thinking

  10.

    Jio4GVoice...

Will work on 1 device only at a time.

To change the device, one need to uninstall Jio4gVoice app from old device, and install the app in new device.

New device should be connected to Jio network (thru Mifi device or Sim in new device). It will ask for OTP which will be sent to your registered mobile number. Just enter the OTP and Jio4GVoice will start to work on new device.

But it's not working on Sprint HTC One M7. Guess it will not work with any imported handset either.

What I am keen to know is whether jio sim is working on sprint htc one m7?
I tried it on sprint htc one m9 but it failed!

  11. SMS has nothing to do with the validity - All prepaid users in Mumbai have 8-8-16 as expiry date whether they sent SMS or not.

SMS was ONLY required for some users who were not able to access data services.

As per TRAI all Data services are switched OFF by default and one can START or STOP data services by sending SMS to 1925 (Universal to all operators - MTNL, Vodafone, Reliance etc.). So those users who were not using DATA in CDMA mode had to send SMS to invoke Data services - whereas users who were already using DATA were able to access Data without sending SMS. I was able to use data 1GB wihtout sending SMS and after consuming 1GB, data stopped - but restarted once I sent SMS to 1925.

Check my post for details regarding irrelevance to SMSdate expiry is 8-8-16 :

Even in Rajasthan circle the default expiry for 10gb data is 8-8-2016
