  1. I too send sms from my vodafone number yesterday night got validity of tht unique code till 4th feb.

Today early morning i got call from vodafone asking me the reason as to why m leaving vodafone,i told him vodafone network is good but its quite costly compared to other service provider.Guys i can't believe the scheme he provided to me

Right now call charges is 1.5paisa/per sec to local and 2.5paisa/per sec for STD calls. He provided me discount of flat 1paisa per sec to any numbers all over india with monthly rental of Rs99 only(instead of Rs199) + 9000 local sec free to any number.Within few hours one of the executive will come to my place with the form for the cancellation of MNP request.

I have activated friends & family pack with one particular vodafone number free at a monthly rental of Rs49,i told tht guy tht today i will be goin to kolkata so i want tht particular number free in roaming also so he told me tht he can provide me tht number free in maharashtra, till now tht number was free in mumbai only but now i can use it outside mumbai also, but not beyond maharashtra.

I am so Happy!!!!!!! Thanks vodafone

    MNP effect!!

  2. I have been using Idea for the past one year. Network is good all over Mumbai. I travel on the central line, and Idea network is good all over except in some patches between Ghatkopar and Kurla. I face call drops only in this patch, otherwise, call quality is very good elsewhere. But I plan to give up Idea because I work in a south Mumbai office and network quality is poor inside my office. Despite several complaints, there has been no improvement. All other networks, Voda, Airtel, Loop are perfect in my office.

Is anyone using Idea in mumbai? how is its network in local trains!

m planning to opt for idea.

Thanks for the info, will probably opt for idea in near future!

    Swadeshi apnao Desh bachao :P

  3. ^^^

Ashish Bhai, never expect cheap POSTPAID PLANS from Vodafone. They will carry on charging higher rentals from their Postpaid subscribers. And if in Postpaid, they provide low calling rates, then it is sure that they will not provide GPRS / Sms etc. on lower rates.

Thats why I already said BYE BYE to VODAFONE POSTPAID :bash: , and shake hand with VODAFONE PREPAID. :)

Yeah within 4-5 months i will shift it to prepaid but right now i can't ;)

  4. Sorry, may be a little offtopic, but:

Anyone has experience with Reliance GSM in Mumbai ?

I am thinking of shifting from RCDMA to RGSM (can't shift to non reliance nos) mainly so that I can get benefit of simultaneous Data+Voice on 3G (and leave imported handset hassles of cdma)

Is RGSM service OK ? Anyone using it here ?

I would not recommend you to use reliance GSM,poor network especialy in local trains, not experienced by me but one of my family member is using it.

  5. True, Reliance has bungled again. Till yesterday, Reliance CC was telling that MNP will begin in Mumbai from Dec 7. But today when I asked them, one told me that they have not been notified yet. Same response from Idea CC, which said `the date was being finalised'. Everybody was so eager to have it in Mumbai as early as possible. Now it seems, we are again at the mercy of operators.

One more thing. For the past few days, I have been using mobilephones of my friends (with various operators) to send sms to 1900 to check if it was working. Got back smses of MNP from Idea, Reliance GSM, Reliance CDMA, Docomo, except Vodafone, which replied saying the request cannot be processed now. Is Vodafone prepared to accept MNP? Is it one of the causes for delay in implementation of MNP in Mumbai?

I m using vodafone service in mumbai and i had no problem in porting my current number.
