  1. Even I tried to get some offer through RCOM by pretending to port my number. :Contento: But as my current plan (FV399)seems to be the best as per my usage which I mostly onnet and few local calling.

    So I spoke to them about the network issue I had faced for the past 1 year at my office.

    At around 11.30 pm every day the network goes down and i have zero network or just one bar till around say 5 am. They said that they will get back to me on this and guess what they did LOL.

    They said that a tech guy will visit my office and check how far is the tower located from my office they informed me that every night around 11 the building where the nearest tower is located goes on inverter backup and dies out which in return makes the network weak. (Though I am not sure if its is true this was something they they never cared to check to inform) They said that will fix this asap so that my problem is solved.

    For me this is something which retains myself to a provider. For the past 1 year I had tried escalating this issue but no one responded BUT now I can see the MNP effect :grin:

    P.S. Sorry if this post is irrelevant to this topic or if I have hijacked this thread. But I felt like sharing how MNP is changing things at least for now :P


  2. AFAIK this service is active since the end of December 2010. I was on leave from 20th of December for the whole week and was traveling, most of the time I was not reachable and whenever I was accessible by Manager got a message that I can be reached now (obviously he had tried calling me earlier when I had no network coverage). When I came back he informed me about this and I came to know how at times technology can screw you :Contento: :Contento: :Contento:

    BTW I am too feed up of not receiving alerts when I am on 1X. :Equivocado: :Equivocado:


  3. Thanks a lot anurag! Installed using .apk and is loading fine on HTC Incredible. I was unable to get past the "Create PIN" screen though as it showed unable to process, please try again. Not sure if it has to do anything with ICICI's server at the moment. I think they are restricting it for "CDMA Handsets". "GPRS" is mentioned in the instruction screens and maybe that is causing the PIN activation to fail? It also requires to send an SMS (through the app) for PIN registration. Other options like ATM location search are working fine though on 1x.

    Ditto here i have even called customer support about this issue. But they conifrmed that it is a problem with their imobile server for now and the outage may last till 30 jan :) still they say that sporadically customers may be able use it. I tried multiple times but no sucess. Further, initally while loading the app it says gprs sucess which i guess is internet check!

    P.S Though I never posted but I really like to read posts from gurus like HETAL,KAMMAl,SADIK

    (especially DR Mufadal bhai) Hitesh, Ranjan, Amitjain, PARIN, DKAILE, Rohan4ever the list seems endless...... LOL
