    Preview sim with MiFi seems locked to IMEI. I got a sim activated today. As soon as i put it on a phone, data stops and redirects to a page which shows Your balance has been exhausted

    Is this true? can we use Samsung activated JIO sim in other mobile without breaking the free unlimited offer? any body tried?


    Samsung activated jio sim can use any other 4g phones, I tried note 3 , HTC m9+.

    1) Search for or google my jio app version 3.2.05 & install it.
    2) Open it and Install all the jio app given in my jio using any data mobile or wifi
    3) Restart your device.
    4) Turn off your data and open my jio app. Don’t mind as it will show no data connection.
    5) Press open link given at the right side MyJio.
    6) You will see GET JIO SIM option
    7) Press home button of your device and uninstall all jio app but don’t uninstall my jio.
    8) Switch on your JIO LTE 4G internet and open my jio.
    9) Press sign in. (If you don’t have sign up for the same)
    10) Sign in and wait for few moment. A pop up will come out asking you to press submit to install 4 jio apps – play, demand, beats and money.
    11) Press submit and it will automatically take you to play store where one after another you have to install the four app. Be careful not to disturb this process. you just have to press install and ok button.
    12) As soon as you sucessfully install the apps your limited will get converted to 90 days preview offer.

    Just been to Reliance Digital to get Jio sim for the Samsung offer. They said that the jio sim is being given only to those samsung customers who have purchased their phones from Modern Retail Outlets like Vijay Sales, Croma, Reliance Digital etc only and not to those bought from local stores even if its samsung S7. The guy even showed me the official sms he got from Jio stating the same.

    Now again what new tricks is Mr.Mukesh Ambani going to play?

    What the hell? Now they want us to buy handsets only from bigger retail outlets at more price even if our neighbourhood local shop is giving a discount of maybe 2K on same model. I dont see any reason for them to do this.

    Update  from Kerala Circle: 

    CDMA SIM deactivated yesterday evening and 4G SIM activated instantly.

    All Incoming and Outgoing calls and SMS is working.

    Balance carried forward. Top up recharges through Freecharge works on selecting Reliance CDMA.

    Got promo 150 Min valid for one month. Balance getting deducted at 1p/1s from promo bal. Not sure if base tariff which was 50p/min has got changed.

    At present only 2G data available. Promo Data of 1GB on 2G with validity of one month is credited.

     

     

     

    Where in Kerala? Have 3 postpaid connection still working.
