Hi I used to have a LG 2030 moonlight phone. Having used a Nokia all these years makes you feel that any other phone is a piece of turd. I used LG for about 45 days. The network was not a problem but the battery was. Also the phone used to get over heated. SMS characters were less. So I bought a Nokia 6585, I feel that I should have bought it earlier. No network problems, battery life is also good. OK it does not support R world but I dont need it anyways. It entirely depends on you which cell to go for. I just cited my experience & opinion.

Yeah...the Nokia N series are the much awaited & talked about cellphones. Launched with much pomp & grandeur in the Asia Pacific region, these phones are like a dream gadget....but pricey too. When will Nokia start making state of art CDMA handsets....

I feel that this should not be the case at all guys....one circle means one single cirrcle. Then the inter-circle <200 kms definition will change, then these will be applicable to places in the borders of Gujarat, MP, Karnataka etc if you are in Maharashtra.... People in other states have never got a problem of distance, they roam across the entire state at local rates...just wait & watch what RIM will do about it...

Ok gotcha....but how, from where, at what cost you can d/l it to the pc & then to your cell?? And ofcourse what will be the side effects...

What is the allocated quota to each user??? Are there any charges for using this service??? I have an on net sms pack?? Will I be billed for this... Pl lemme know

Is it true??? If yes then as it is the battery of most of the CDMA phones sux, even when they are new...

Myself facing the same problems...TATA no delivery confirmation, & most of the time no delivery of messages... While I have never been able to send an SMS to BSNL from RIM...

That doesn't seem to be the case. Till now only BSNL has announced their revised tariff plans...(See link somewhere above). Moreover since BSNL does not have a network in Mumbai...hence calls to other operators in Mumbai from a BSNL cell in Maharashtra will be billed at a 45 sec. pulse. That makes me wonder, in roaming all the GSM operators share each others networks...since the revenues were higher in roaming they could be shared for using each others networks. Now with calls becoming local & their earnings kinda getting down to peanuts, will they still share networks or probably invest monies in more infrastructure??? Since sharing such low revenues doesn't work & yeah remember incoming is absolutely free..!!! So any guesses what will they do??

Can you throw some more light on it?? Ok & any idea whether it will work on Nokia 6585 as well...

There is no communication from any of the cellcos about the new mobile policy either....seems that none of the cellcos are happy, coz these metros were supposed to be their cash cows. DoT Zindabaad.....
