  1. Tried to port my wife's main number to Reliance GSM 4G but the process did not go through for two attempts in December 2016. Thank God it failed. The network is going bad to worse with less than a lac CDMA upgraded customers left in RCOM. Congratulations Doctor ji, after getting caller's curses I am porting my business number back to Tata CDMA from JIO.

  2. VOLTE fix for Moto G4 Play and Moto E3 Power.

    For stock non-rooted phones

    Enable USB debugging

    Turn on Airplane mode

    Open command prompt in PC

    Type adb shell

    then type, pm clear com.android.providers.telephony

turn off airplane mode, reboot phone

    For rooted phones:-

Use root explorer and delete telephony.db from data/data/com.android.providers.telephony

    reboot

  3. Other reasons why RJIO should be treated as a pass time number:- Deliberate encoding and locking of EARFCN, wrong band reporting, 850 to 1800 handover is way below industry standards. RSRQ depletes as soon as data is consumed. Enode-B controls the UE which is not a transparent approach by JIO. There is no synchronous between SINR and RSRP. 1800 Mhz is a premium LTE band used worldwide with stable throughout but strangely it appears damaged in JIO. Whatever speeds users are getting is mainly due to 850 mhz contained from Reliance CDMA 800 Mhz. Jio has the worst band 40 propagation in the history of telecommunications. Jio Join and Jio4GVoice are buggy. They give out two loud speaker damaging clicks whenever an outgoing call is made. Enode-Bs catering to 1800 have normal footprint as calibrated but 850 mhz PCI are much more than estimated. On the whole, voice is thoroughly compromised due to evident reasons, RJIO may need to deploy separate chunk for volte for stable performance.

  4. Hello Sir,

I followed your tutorial for unlocking XT1055 but unfortunately not able to get any gsm signal after the procedure. But more than that I wanted to ask that whenever I turn the phone on with a SIM, I am getting a notification saying "Activating your phone, please do not turn off". Is this has something to do with the unlocking ??

My phone is on 5.1. Any help will be appreciated

  5. A direct method of GSM-4G LTE network unlock without changing values is shown on this forum here. http://bbs.gfan.com/android-8010401-1-1.html It has GPT.bin, NON-HLOS.bin and FSG.mbn from ATT Victara 5.1. The author has uploaded a modified USC Victara 5.1 firmware.xml here. http://pan.baidu.com/s/1o6ED4l8 I assume no responsibility of any content on any other forums. Flash according to your own will.

  6. Tata Indicom Docomo CDMA has started accepting new connections in Mumbai from today. All compatible sim cards are available at various outlets. If, at any moment, if any store personnel refuses to provide CDMA sim cards then make a complaint on Tata Docomo online chat service.

TRAI has full governance on GSM and GSM based 4G data so it will not be possible for 4G operators to reduce data tariffs in line with EvDo rates. Tata will expand it's footprint with ICR with another carrier so fringe coverage will improve.

  8. If TATA CDMA isn't shutting down in Mumbai, why have the CDMA plans been taken off their website for Mumbai circle?

Their customer care themselves have confirmed that shutdown is imminent. Why will CC spread false info?

I really want to continue with tata CDMA in Mumbai, but I'm afraid that it's gonna stop working one day.

And GERAN is for GSM, not CDMA.

Geran was the word used by a Tata MSC personnel. Same mast can be used for CDMA transceiver also on select installations.

  9. Gather some more Tata CDMA customers and all should lodge complaints for inconsistent voice and data services. It will be rectified within a fortnight. Tata Indicom will face some coverage issues for few months because of old tower sharing agreements and migration to the new plans of CDMA tower usage. Just as prior to MTS network close down, BSNL CDMA has started using MTS sites in some pockets of the country.

  10. Last week's update with regional heads of Gujarat and Mumbai. They are now using GERAN BTS of Reliance CDMA in Ahmedabad and Mumbai city so they have "NO" plans of CDMA close down in the respective cities. Network in remaining Gujarat and Maharashtra to continue as earlier. A subsequent email reply also stated that not to rely on any private websites and blogs with reference to Tata CDMA shutting off .

  11. Dear Forum members,

Need information regarding RSN registration with BSNL cdma prepaid OR postpaid. I have a source, from where I can buy a FWP wireless phone cdma RSN based. Which I would like to buy & made it work on BSNL cdma. As my parents prefer landline type option.

Has anyone got an idea, if that is possible ? By doing anything with BSNL or by doing anything in phone itself.

You can go in for open market RUIM based FWP available on eBay India and use in on BSNL CDMA,

  12. QCN backup is not for restoring into another phone. It can only be restored in the same ESN phone. QCN is provided to compare each NV item, side by side, along with the QCN of the locked phone so the hidden RF item will be found. HTC M9/+ requires S-Off for any LTE band modifications. A custom international ROM may also be needed. carrierpolicy.xml in the EFS of M9 will have to be modified. All in all, never try to enable Band 40 on any USC, SPR or VZW phone or be prepared to lose it because the phone will not come in diag mode later.

  13. Actually the telecom industry is undergoing massive enhancements and downgrades, reductions and closures. Just as the likely described 2G? CDMA ended in a sad ungrateful fate, all major telecom companies will reconsider their dominance in the coming future. Government has permitted narrow band spectrum for 3G/4G, so even smaller operators will offer LTE at an affordable rate. We will be getting signals according to ARP and EDBITA ratings provided by the research agencies worldwide. Survival of the fittest will be evident in few years, for rest it will be a gamble.

    Dear Friends,

I have recently ported out from Reliance "4G" gsm to Tata Docomo CDMA. Yes, they are giving new connections (in fact, they come to home to give sim card), but only Post Paid & nor prepaid.

Sim card they have given is Gold plated (normal sim), which I have cut into microsim & using it in my LG G Vista VS880. Voice / SMS are working ok, but data not working.

So, I need help from forum members to start using Internet on this device with Tata docomo.

History : This LG G Vista is from verizon & earlier used to work with reliance voice / sms out of the box AND to make data work, I had some some setting change internally through DFS.  However, since reliance parameters were known, so it was possible, for Tata docomo I don't have any idea. Help required..

The following are suitable for RGE type handsets. Internet settings common for all handsets.
