I think we should use this window to legitimize our phones.
The MNP carnage may have forced Reliance to go slow. But then with RCom you never know.
-
RCom is the second worst sufferer - only beaten by Bhai Saheb Nahin Lagega. CDMA in general is getting the heat. I suspect Mukesh may be watching the developments with glee.

An additional bit of news Android has overtaken Symbian as the most popular OS. This is as per the box yesterday.
Details are also on

Given the crazy costs of International Roaming what is better for most (90%+) of us is a good old Matrix card in a GSM phone.

This is one month of Haryana. Biggest loser BSNL followed by Reliance (both GSM & CDMA). Biggest gainer Vodafone, Aircel (surprise), Tata Docomo & Airtel. Massive churn in Airtel.
If the trend continues then CDMA (and Reliance, as their GSM is pathetic at best) seems to be in trouble (allowing market handsets may be the way out). What was happening in Airtel - poor service + marketing hype!

I doubt that this can be done by the user. Only the Guru's with special links can do it.

Easiest is to take the bus to the City and then take an overnight bus (I hear day buses are now also there) from Majestic to Udupi. My son has done it many times, and cosiders this the best way. Of course the expensive way is to fly Bangalore-Mangalore.

The swipe type ATMs have this feature. Only the older 'capture' type ATMs allowed multiple transactions. They are in any case on the way out.

Let us see. I doubt whether the phone battery will have to juice to work as a re-transmitter and last for long.

Who will bell the cat?

He is coming out with a new everything in the next 100 days. Now with the Bofors having blown up 'Headlines Today - Lunchtime' all bets are off!

Uninor is going to sue.
This may be fun to watch.

@arun: These things take time after all.

Good now we will have the MuDA and AnDA Reliance. Hopefully, they will still be identified!

You can trust our babus to cite some security threat and stop everything. They are doing it to 3G so how can 4G be allowed. They want 0G!!

Excellent. Only we must keep an eye on the juice it consumes. In any mobile app there is always a thin line between battery life and power!
-
I think there has been too much noise on the 'brain frying issue'. You get reports one way and then the other. Also, with 3G visual content will dominate so the handsets will (hopefully) not be glued to the ear for very long.
-
Let us look for it in CDMA. LG has often anointed itself as the CDMA master in the past!

Dhiraj: You are really goggling and oodling!

There may be some logic in striving for an alternative to Android. A single platform stifles innovation amongst other things. However, I see nothing on the horizon. iPhone and BB OSes are proprietary and highly unlikely to be out licensed. All others look like being destined to the scrap heap of history.

I agree with dhiraj 200%. A very pathetic defence. Given a chance to say sorry, she did not even do that.

Oops, it should have been Pandrol Clip!

If so then it is typical of RCom. No intimation to customers. They will send all sorts of junk by mail, but not this (or for that matter MEID stuff) by e-mail. Logic would suggest that they send you alternate data plans under MEID/EVDO at the same time.
