    NEW DELHI: Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani-owned fourth-generation (4G) technology-based telecom player Reliance Jio Infocomm will strategically leverage VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) app 'Jio Join' that will allow 2G or 3G users to access Jio's high-speed network to make voice calls and download seamless data, a senior company official told NDTV in an interview.

    Customers without a LTE or VoLTE device can download Jio Join app on their 2G or 3G device and together with Mi-Fi router, calls will be routed via Jio's high-speed 4G network, Reliance Jio Infocomm SVP & CTO - North Udit Bajpayi told TV channel.

    Bajpayi also said that Jio's heterogeneous network with a combination of access technologies such as LTE, Wi-Fi and FTTx integrated with high-capacity IP-MPLS network will give consumers a differentiated experience.

    Dear All,

    A SMS has been relayed in 10 circles to CDMA customers.

    SMS sent to AP, Delhi, Gujarat, Kolkata, Maharashtra-Goa, MP-Chattishgarh, Mumbai, UP (E & W), Bihar. It is will be launched in Karnataka very soon.

    Attached is the document on the 4G SMS sent, the answer if the customer calls or comes enquiring on the SMS and related FAQs

    "Dear customer, we are upgrading CDMA network to 4G shortly. As a preferred customer, await our invitation to experience the BEST 4G network"

    Script: (If customer calls that he has received the above SMS)

    Dear Sir/Madam, you have heard it right. We are upgrading our network. We will let you know the details shortly

    Q1. What is Reliance 4G LTE?

    Ans) Reliance 4G is the next evolution in mobile technology. 4G will provide you ultra-high speed at 850 MHz.

    Q2. When will 4G be launched?

    Ans) Currently, we are in the process of upgrading our network. We will intimate you in few days.

    Q3. Will my existing SIM work with 4G?

    It's not gonna stop overnight

    Cdma will be closed its final but high revenue circles may get delayed

    In Mumbai both jio and Rcom has 800 frequency 5mhz each

    So they can delay for Mumbai and Gujarat where they have extra spectrum

    All people are getting 4g upgrade sms in all India

    For 5 circles they are upgrading which are low revenue zone

    Based on Reaction of that they wil deal with other zones

    As this 4g is big challenge every customer has to upgrade handsets which is really gonna hit reliance hard

    I have Sprint Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE SPH-L300. I want binaries for Reliance CDMA. Can any one help to get it..

    I have used COMBINATION_L300VPALH1_L300SPRALH1_934170_REV00_user_low_ship.tar

    and HOME_L300VPBND4_L300SPRBND4_1539737_REV00_user_low_ship.tar but no luck.

    I am able to use phone but by default for 3G its looks for Sprint network and dosent work.

    Any has used US Sprint rooted in India and used with Indian CDMA operator.

    Guys I have bought a new samsung S4 I-9500 global phone, my old phone was Samsung S3 SCH-R530 US cellular. The calls, messages and data are working fine in GSM mode. My Reliance REC series sim card did not work with it and showed invalid sim and as the seller told i will need RG series sim card i got it after lot of searching from one reliance mobile store as it was very difficult to find this series sim card, so the calls and messages worked fine after that but the data is not working. The data is not working in any other cdma phones as well whereas data was working on previous sim. So as i thought it would be a problem with the new sim so I changed the RG sim to another RG sim but the same problem. So can anybody help me out to solve this problem asap.

    ONLY SURE SHOT REMEDY -- TRANSFER YOUR NUMBER TO NEW RUIM ( USE RGERUC SERIES MICRO SIM )... MIND IT DONT DO OTA (*228)IN SPRINT SAMSUNG PHONE EVER . ONLY USE ANY BASIC LG RD SERIES PHONE RD3510 OR EQUAL FOR *228 PROCESS.

    i defer to this remedy *228 in S4 Mini Sprint wont make any Issue, Infact is better to do *228 on that handset

    Desire 510 will work with Ruims?

    Also, which phones in this price range will work with ruims?

    No it doest work

    Volt works on ruim but has issue with calls
