    A large number of complaints are hearing about data usage in this handset. I was also interested to buy this handset, but after hearing this type news I postponed my decision. I wonder why LG / CDMA operators pretending ignorance about this handset and its programming :confuse: . The CDMA operators can pretend ignorance, but LG - the mother of this handset is also pretending :cursing:

    Friends, i bought Nikon 'coolpix L21' camera today for Rs 4800/- and got free items more than its value :Sorprendido: Got 4GB memory card (about Rs 500/-) :Sorprendido: , Nikon pouch (Rs 180/-) :Sorprendido: , 2 alkaline batteries (Rs 50/-) :Sorprendido: , Godrej GP powerbank NiMH batteries (2 numbers) and charger unit (Rs 550/-) :Sorprendido: , Giordano gents wrist watch with one year warranty (Rs 3850/-) :Sorprendido: Total cost of freebies is Rs 5130/-. The camera is 8 Mega pixel and printed MRP is 4990/-. All freebies are in very good quality, the wrist watch has only ordinary looks with white dial and bluish silver hands but built quality is good. It is original Giordano watch and not a Chinese toy. Price (Rs 3850/-) may be a overpriced label. But overall a good deal. I bought it from Thrissur town, this offer is now available all over Kerala till Onam.

    FM not working .. anyone tried FM?

    My wife is using this handset and FM is working well. It has wireless FM reception (FM will work without inserting headset cord). In areas where the FM signal is weak the FM reception is good only if the handset is held in a particular direction. In wired handsets, the headset cord works as an antenna and we can improve the FM reception by holding the headset cord in horizontal position with a particular horizontal angle (Azimuth Angle). But in this case antenna is fitted internally in the handset and we should rotate the handset itself.

    This handset have default ring tones only, can not set MP3 tones from memory card.
    are you sure about this, because i am planning to buy this mobile, please guys anyone answer this urgently

    Yes, I am sure. But don't misunderstand - this answer is ONLY for SMS ring tones. We can set any MP3 song from the memory card for CALL ring tone.

    I'm unable to find the MMS option in my LG 6300, pl help

    I too can't find MMS sending option

    How to set SMS Mp3 tone? (from memory) please share if you know.

    This handset have default ring tones only, can not set MP3 tones from memory card.

    'Nokia MicroUSB connector' data cable is compatible with this handset.

    I have a suggestion. Change the battery

    Try to turn on the phone while charging the battery. If it is turning on and switching off when charger is removed, it is the problem of battery (if there is a short circuit in the battery this experiment will not work, but short circuit in the battery is very very rare). If battery is O.K., the problem is in either charger or in the phone. To check charger buy a 'LED' (Light Emitting Diode) from electronics spare parts shop for Rs. 1/- and just touch its two leads (=legs) in the DC output pin of the charger (if the DC output pin of the charger is in co-axial shape insert one leg of the LED in the central hole and touch the other leg in the outer metallic tube plate). Switch on the charger if the LED not lighting up, interchange the LED leg connections (one lead of LED is Positive and other is Negative, if the polarity is not correct LED will not light up). If the LED is lighting up the charger is O.K. Remove the screws in the down side of the phone with a small 'star' screw driver and separate the cover.Check any wire is detached from soldering points, there is a sliding switch in the under side of the phone to turn the power on and off, this switch contacts may be loose and try to short circuit the input and output wire terminals of the switch with a screw driver and try to turn on the phone, if the phone is turning on the problem is in the switch. If all these things are O.K., the problem is in the electronic board, and do nothing in the board as it can repaired only by a electronics technician.

    The battery of the FWP is commonly two Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cad) 1.2 Volt batteries (same as pencil cell shape but half its length) connected in series (effective voltage is 2.4)and packed in a plastic cover with lead in wires and miniature plastic plug, please see the image, easily available in electronic spare parts shops. The batteries can be removed and inserted easily by the miniature plastic plug and socket connection.

    The switch is also easily available but you have to solder it to connect. If you don't know about soldering and interested to do soldering , I will tell you the soldering techniques.

    does anyone know about Brew? When i tried to open it, the phone asked me to get an upgraded RUM. Does anyone know what does it mean?

    Samsung Mpower muzik 219 is an open market handset (OMH handset). You should buy an OMH sim and transfer your number to the new OMH sim (costs about Rs 250/- including number transfer procedure). Then you can use BREW applications and data in the handset. Now you are using ordinary RUIM (removable user identity module, ie CDMA SIM), so phone asked upgraded RUIM which means OMH sim.     Thank you KanagaDeepan for informing about this offer. It is a really 'mouth watering' offer. But one problem is Videocon has only a limited coverage area in Kerala, towers only in municipal cities. Also RGSM, RCDMA, Uninor, Docomo, indicom, virginCDMA, virginGSM and Aircel have only limited coverage. Airtel has moderate coverage. Idea, Bsnl, Vodafone and MTS have good coverage including rural areas.
