  3. Hi all Can anybody suggest java enabled CDMA handsets which can work in Tata. Preferably within Rd.2500. This is to enable POS by an SME. regards ananth
  4. Verizon HTC Incredible - The Beefed Up CDMA Nexus 1

Thanks again DK. So I'm back to CWM recovery with superuser rights. Only problem now is that after removing bloatware like CityID using adb I lose 'EPST' and am not able to "##778". Is there any way to regain EPST? thanks and regards ananth

  7. Verizon HTC Incredible - The Beefed Up CDMA Nexus 1

extreeeeemly sorry Dhiraj bhai - that was stupid of me - clicked the wrong button accidentally - I really do regret this. BTW I think it will do good if you edit your posting asking those who upgrade to delete 'update.zip' from the sdcard , once the upgrade is over. Reason I'm saying this is that after upgrade I went to bootloader to check the hboot version without deleting first the 'update.zip' file, and it started running the update without any prompts whatsoever, and I had to jack the battery out. Again when I switched on the phone it started continuing with the update , I had to again pull out the battery, put the sdcard in another handset and delete the update zip file. Nearly had a heart attack, but as they say 'no excuses for ignorance'. Sorry again and thanks a lot. ananth
  8. Verizon HTC Incredible - The Beefed Up CDMA Nexus 1

One more succesful upgrade to stock 2.2 , thanks to DK. (Actually I had removed the CityID bloatware earlier. So had to root again, move CityID apk and the jars back to where they were moved from. Then again installed stock recovery and then started the update) Android Version 2.2 Build 3.21.605.1 Radio 2.15.00.07.28 1X working Market working Camera working USB Wired tether working But Youtube has started buffering, whereas earlier in stock 2.1 youtube videos used to play in a single shot without buffering stops
  9. Verizon HTC Incredible - The Beefed Up CDMA Nexus 1

hi all I've come back to stock 2.1 from the leaked 8/1 Froyo 2.2 leak - via the downgrade thread posted in XDA. Once back on stock, I've rooted again and s-off'd. But even after downgrade my hboot is .79 and not .77. Is this a concern for upgrade to stock 2.2 Froyo? Also do I need to install 'PB31IMG.zip' again , now that I have rooted again and applied s-off? thanks and regards ananth
  10. Help Needed To Downgrade Hboot

I had rooted and flashed the leaked Froyo 2.2 ROM on my Droid Incredible F0llowing the link http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-incredible/123816-how-revert-back-earlier-version-hboot.html,I've downgraded to stock 2.1-update1 and Baseband version 1.00.03.04.06, but my hboot version is not downgraded and is still .79. Can I upgrade to 2.2 when OTA comes, or should I try some other method to downgrade hboot. Everything happens as per the link mentioned above till the point where it asks to run code 'fastboot devices'. On running fastboot devices the silver HTC logo appears and then nothing happens. As mentioned in the link I deleted everything from the 'temp' folder and started RUU again, copied the extracted files to another location and updated 'adb','fastboot''adbwinapi.dll'. On running 'ARUWizard' it throws 'low battery error'. On exiting , handset restarts. Now I renamed the extracted 'rom.zip' file as 'PB31IMG' and copied to sdcard root. After this on rebooting to recovery mode I got back to stock 2.1 with downgraded radio, but hboot did not downgrade. Kindly advice if anything needs to be done regards anantharaman
  11. Help Needed To Downgrade Hboot

As mentioned earlier checking media volume solved the issue(stupid of me for missing this) Doc plzzzzz help me with evdo activation, don't worry, you won't lose your exclusivity, as most people in the forum are not on Tata like me (just joking!) If you guide me, maybe I can try thing or two using my contacts in the company ( being a postpaid channel partner) Thanks and regards ananth
  12. Help Needed To Downgrade Hboot

Sorry, loss of sound was only bcoz media volume was low, On increasing media volume everything works fine - and yeah now my YouTube works great without a single buffer regards ananth I accidently went to the hoot menu to check version without first deletingPBIMG1.zip from the sdcard.though it started verifying the zip I didn't apply it. But after this I have lost sound while playing music or YouTube. Should I root again and apply PBIMG1.zip to regain sound, or does it run the risk Of applying the same radio again Thanks and regards ananth
  13. Tata Meid And Esn Registration...

thanks Sadik bhai I've mailed you my MEID no for updation in Tata's database. How can I get my ESN number, or is it just the MEID number that is needed. thanks again. regards anantharaman
  14. Can somebody provide download link for flash 10.1 Regards ananth
  15. dear Guru's I would like to get back to stock 2.1 non-rooted on my Droid Incredible. I had upgraded my radio to 2.x and flashed the leaked 2.2 rom. No major issues , but am not able to "##778", nor use 'native usb tether'. Anyway upgrade was done just because had a rush of blood - just to prove to myself "Gone there - Done that" Sense has prevailed again, to wait for the official 2.2 OTA. Is it safe to go back (kindly suggest the right steps), if so is the following procedure the right one copy "PB31IMG.zip" to SD Card and 'reboot to recovery' ( is it safe to do this, as it was mentioned that "applying radio twice will result in a brick". thanks and regards ananth
  16. Ok doc, let me see what I can do . BTW are ROM's operator independent, tanveer had given link for the 2.1 Sprint ROM
  17. overall it's good, with no hitches except for these youtube buffers and stammers (guess that has to do with the virtual memory setting - don't know how to increase VM heap value - maybe needs a different - kernel) not able to ##778 native usb tether gone personally wud love to go back to stock 2.1 till the 2.2 ota comes - somebody please suggest ways to downgrade and give link to download the 2.1 stock rom , as I had not taken a nandroid backup
  18. what are thses add-ons thanx
  19. doc, wud really appreciate if you could elaborate on these 2 points. another blunder I made is not taking nandroid backup of the stock rom , so don't have a backup of the stock rom to restore. thanks ananth
  20. Verizon HTC Incredible - The Beefed Up CDMA Nexus 1

Does this mean we'l be getting evdo data on imported sets?
  21. Hi all Recently I rooted and flashed 2.2 froyo leaked Rom. After this whenever I plugin thru usb port it automatically prompts to install the Verizon driver and am not able to dialup
  22. Cannot Dialup Through USB on HTC Incredible

yes, I have tried this with success, even after ROM upgrade, was able to dialup via cable, but suddenly system refuses to recognize modem - whenever phone is plugged in via cable autorun from the handset storage runs asking whether to install verizon drivers (even after setting default mode in handset as 'mobile broadband connect' , phone connect defaults to Disk Drive mode and opens as drive). Now even after installing the downloaded USB driver for 'boot loader interface' - system automatically initialises to the ADB driver interface. (am able to wifi tether my laptop succesfully) thanks and regards ananth
  23. Verizon HTC Incredible - The Beefed Up CDMA Nexus 1

Thanx Hitesh bhai. I've upgraded to Froyo 2.2 on my Incredible, as per steps mentioned in the post. No issues found. But it's really sad that we can't get EVDO on a beauty like Incredible, though people with a crap like the Corby have EVDO. regards Ananth
