  1. BTW, did you get the Best Customer Rewards Programme last year, while you were having corporate connections?

Even I had my FWPs under corporate connection and I did not get the offer. When I complained at that time, they told me that for corporate customers, they would reward them later. This delayed rewards just disappeared. Neither did we get any other extra benefit by being corporate customers nor were we given any reductions in tariffs or plan charges etc. I complained to the chairmans office that they were discriminating users like this and they replied as stated above.

Anyway, what I am getting to is the indifferent service meted out to corporate customers in Reliance. And we have to put up with their world class services like no unbilled usage from anywhere - helplines, ww's. wwe's, websites, ivrs etc etc. No one can give you any infio at all. Further a corporate coonection cannot make online payments also and has to go the WW even today. In Chennai all the WWs have parking problems and when you reach there, the delay in attending to you makes you get fed up and feel like surrendering all lines.

When we get the opportunity, I am game to surrendering all my six Reliance lines and switch over to some other operator.

  2. Thanks Vishal for the immediate reply.

I will try again tomorrow and let you know if there are any problems.

I tried using LG PCSync, but I was unable to backup my 5340 or 6230. Pl let me know the correct method in detail if possible. any possibilities for backing up SMS???

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Nothing to beat Reliance in roaming charges. And yes you can opt for any 1India plans either postpaid or prepaid depending on your usage.

Only thing you may miss are the sleek handsets in GSM which are not available in CDMA. But you had mentioned that you wanted only an entry level handset, so you will not miss out anything.

In my opinion, you can opt for RIO 399 or NJ 399 or NJ 499. All these plans are excellent for roaming usage, considering that you use 80% roaming.

Another important thing in CDMA is voice clarity which is far superior to GSM.

And yes, the reliance website is not updated since a long time. most or all info is stale here.

Weigh all the pros and cons and then make your decision. Go through this forum's posts for any help.

  4. No replies to my various emails sent to Chairman's office, Customer care and also service assurance. I have sent innumerable emails to all these three IDs. In short, no use writing to them.

They bunch up many issues from my various emails after a delay of about 15 to 20 days and reply in one single email. However, till date, no reply from service ***. except for a confirmation of receipt of complaint/suggestion email.

In hte reply email, they themselves state that they are very sorry for the delay in replying. Maybe due to lots of emails coming in from the new 3 million customers over the last three months. So emails from the older customers are kept pending.

Further the CC *333, *366, *369 etc also takes up a lot of time to come on the line. And when they finally come, their computers are invariably under updation and request you to call back later after one/ two hours. and when you call up again, you have the same problem and solution as always.

There is no way in resolving your queries either by website, calls or by emails to any known sources nowadays in Reliance.

  5. Yes it is possible, I have done it.

Instead of using 5130 I have used 5340, believe me they are almost the same, as I am using data cable for 5130 on my 5340 handset.

just run bitpim and go to file system and expand it.

    Hi Vishal,

I also have a 5340 and have purchased a serial data cable, as advised on this forum.

However, my Bitpim does not recognise my 5340 phone at all, despite several attempts. I used the latest version of Bitpim and on not suceeding, I tried also with the previous version of bitpim, but no success at all. So please can you advise me what is the version of bitpim, phone model selected, data cable used etc

to enable me to use bitpim for my 5340 and also 6230. :help::help::help:

However, for my FWP 350R, the same serial data cable recognises the phone and also displays the file system. I also u/l some midi ringtones to the 350R phone. But my phone has become very slow now. Maybe i should delete some ringtones. I have loaded to the maximum possible. One more thing I wanted to know, if one can take a backup of the phonebook using bitpim? if yes, pl. advise the procedures? I want to backup my 350R, 5340 and also 6230. All these three models share the same serial data cable. I also have USB data cable by the way. :help::help::help:

    Thanks in Advance.

    :angry::clap::clap:

  6. In the first place, the pulse for STD cards is 60 secs and not 30 secs, if I am not wrong.

But anyway, people using STD cards, please keep a tight check over the next few days and report here about any discrepancies in charges, so that others may not fall into this trap and crap.

If what the above people state is true, then it is highly unethical of Reliance to cheat in this manner. Someone should drag them to consumer courts.

  7. Some rel. agent called me up today trying to make me convert to postpaid NJ 199 plan from my prepaid. But I have to lose my number and buy another GSK for 330 to activate under NJ199.?????????:wacko::blink::unexp::lol::eek::confuse::):punk:

He told me that onnet pack is still available but with a limit of 1000 mts free for RIM2RIM only and all other calls to rel FWP/Fixed etc etc will be as per local landline call charges only, which is at 0.30 pm for NJ199.:rolleyes::wub::thumb::clap:

CC has advised contrary to this and said that onnet is stopped from 20.03.2006. As usual, rel does not update their CC people with the latest info.

  8. DAPO expires betwwen March end to May end. I guess Reliance would keep us waiting till last minute.

DAPO expires for different customers at different times. If you had taken the connection prior to MAY 2003, it will expire on 30th April. For customers who have opted for DAPO at a later date, it will expire exactly three years after the date on which service was activated.

So for someone who has taken DAPO on 01 January 2004, it will expire on 31.12.06 and so on.

But Reliance will not give any new scheme for DAPO users, who have been advised to choose from any available plans on offer. So give up fancy hopes and get ready to be looted. :clap1::P:clap::P:clap::P

    Keep Enjoying Reliance.

  9. same plan as tata now introduced by reliance also. they have started copying tata nowadays for all new plans. call charges ditto as under tata walky, rental same, no onnet pack for calling free r2r available.sms is expensive at 1 for intra circle and 2 for national, etc, etc...

Crappy people that they are, they still continue with 499 +50 plan also. Who will go in for this stupid, expensive plan?

    JAI RELIANCE.

  10. Which network is this 3000 available on? are you sure about the model number. Neither Reliance nor LG website mention this model at all, nor about 3500 (or is it 350????)

Axesstel is avl. on TATA only.

So is LG 3000 and 3500 also on TATA?

  11. I have 2 prepaids with me activated on 28.01.2006.

Both have call waiting facility activated by dialling *311 and in both numbers, CW working perfectly fine. I checked it up just now before posting here. The only thing not working for me is when you are on one call and you want to make another call, it does not work. this means that CC is not active here.

Please clarify with RCC or maybe, Reliance have these services working only in selected areas.

    Keep enjoying Reliance.

  13. Thanks a ton Vishal, I have done the same and u/l some midi ringtones. Eagerly waiting for your midi rt's

And yes the same data cable fits both 5340 and 6230 and we can use PCSync SW but in Bitpim, it does not recognise the mobiles at all. Any ideas? Further in PCSync, how to take a backup of the phonebook? What are the parameters to be set for syncing?

    Thanks once again.
