Happens, just wipe all three again and repeat the process as before After first boot contacts will be restored from ur gmail account automatically Thru superbackup restore contacts , sms and logs And to restore apps, go to external sd folder in card and restore apps from mybackup folder manually, dont use my backup app to restore apps and data this time Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2 -

joshm replied to joshm's topic in Samsung
hey !! its been a while since my last update Some important news upfront The M6 update that i am gonna be sharing now is prolly the last update over ICS from the awesomest AOKP TEAM. But the biggest thing for us Ol timers is that the AOKP will now be working and releasing JellyBean updates for fascinate yupp the best ever news really !! ( this is gonna be sweet LOL considering the S3 vzn variant has come out with LOCKED bootloader ) ok the UPDATES now AOKP MILESTONE 6 Rom [with Linaro toolchain and latest DEVIL kernel] : http://android.encou...one-6-Devil.zip Latest GAPPS : http://goo.im/gapps/...0429-signed.zip DATA FIX : http://www.mediafire...srqv32venglftmq Installation : You should already be on any earlier version of aokp 1.. Make a nandroid backup 2.. Backup all your data ( with super backup + mybackup root ) - so that you can install them back on your M6 3.. place all the files on your SD card. 4.. boot into recovery by long pressing power button and then selecting REBOOT > recovery ( DON'T give it three fingers plz ) 5.. wipe data > wipe cache > wipe dalvik ( just once in enough ) 6.. install the M6 by selecting flash zip file option 7.. flash GAPPS 8.. Flash DATA FIX reboot > give it like 7 or 10 minutes for the first boot > PROFIT If you are running any GB or FROYO Rom then plz follow this tutorial ------- and instead of flashing the M5 in there flash the M6 file as usual if your phone explodes or there starts a nulclear war or your GF runs away ;P we arent responssible , this inclues Bricked phones too -
http://www.gsmarena.com/asus_google_nexus_7-4850.php well , we all know that in the price tag of 199$ ( in US ) Asus Google Nexus 7 ( 7 inch tablet ) is gonna be one hell of a deal. whatever i have read and seen about it on the Internet I am impressed, yes there are some cons but this is certainly gonna shake up the scene . I wanted to ask what our community thinks about this, or if there are better options available for us, may be in the same price of even lower. I am seriously thinking about giving it a go , and TBH regretting buying the sony vaio for 40 k coz i am not using it all thanks

I believe, radio and firmware updates are your only and best bets. Everyone is a Noob when they do something for the first time, just go to appropriate xda forums an learn about updating and all in there. Will require just one hour for 3 days to get a simple idea an then all the rimweb community is there to help u. I dont have 0 clue about ur phone othereise i would have guided u. All the best From my utterly Fascinating I500 Fascinate :-)

I hope you guyz are aware of Google Currents i was just browsing play store and stumbled upon this today, never heard nything about it before, and i must admit its the most impressive Google app that i have come across after Gmail. its great in all respects , be it interface , content ( pretty freakin awesome ). give it a go if you are like me ( who was totally unaware of it up until now. ) Flipboard is great , but google currents is altogether more practical for us as it has all kinds of content even a Hindustan times magazine as well .

Its pretty simple if you backedup a eh03 based rom via nandroid then you should flash stock eh03 root it and on it restore your nandroid via restore option. If it was ics then you should be on any ics rom yo restore nandroid. I didnt notice anything in 38, but 39 id great with the devil kernel. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2 -

Thanks a bunch for the kind words of support dear mates !!! as far as filemanager is concerned , the AOKP doesnt come with any filemanager , it been like that since build one , let alone apps they dont even include GAPPS download from market - instead of astro i prefer myfiles file manager yupp like the one that comes with stock ROMs for advanced purposes i like root explorer , does everything -

Update Verizon Fascinate i500 to Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jellybean
joshm replied to joshm's topic in Samsung
use the new build it has fewer bugs , for flashing just the kernel there is no need to wipe anything at all. this kernel has far too many options to set , but those are beyond the scope of us users , but may be i ll outline em as well once i have mastered those. even without tweaking the options the kernel is out of the world , try it , you ll THANK me for sure @ ALL : whenever you feel you are having far too many Hot reboots or force closes and freezes , just backup your DATA and apps with mybackup root and follow the STANDARD procedure of flashing the ICS again , will fix most of the things. -
Update Verizon Fascinate i500 to Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jellybean
joshm replied to joshm's topic in Samsung
the flash light problem is still there its yet to get properly fixed , you need to toggle it b/w automatic and On to get going if it stops. the issue is still there in the later builds as well , but not that pronounced. I am now gonna share the awesomest setup ever for AOKP - Download this LATEST GLITCHEDUP BUILD 38 with has some great fixes http://android.encounterpc.com/stevespear426/aokp/fascinate/aokp_fascinatemtd_build-38-Glitched-2012-06-07-15_22.zip Download this new DEViL kernel which has a new version of recovery in it http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1120918&d=1339365830 Download latest GAPPS http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip Also make sure that you have the ICS DATAFIX file on your SD card as well coz you ll again need that as any ICS build breaks data after the flash. store all four in readily accessible directory in your SD card PROCEDURE : Best Method to update to build 38 from M5 ( which i had mentioned a few weeks back ) 1.. just make a nandroid backup of your M5 by booting into recovery and using the backup and restore option 2.. once done boot the phone and backup all DATA + apps with the help of mybackup ROOT 3.. ( make sure you have stored all the three downloads i have mentioned above in the root of your SD card or any other readily accessible directory. 4.. once again REBOOT in recovery , WIPE DATA , WIPE cache partition, WIPE DALVIK 5. flash the build 38, then flash the DEVIL kernel, then flash gapps , and in the end flash the ICS data fix boot up , give it 5 minutes and you now have the ultra smooth and ultra snappy AOKP build 38 by virtue of the newest Devil kernel , which is way better in performance than Glitch. Please NOTE : If you dont want to take any chances then you can straightaway flash the DEVIL kernel on you M5 , try it for a few days and after that if you are happy then upgrade to build 38. -

If you ask me then i would recommend you to not go beyond the EH19 reliance specific build at all. there have been way too many messups with the guyz who have official reliance i500, flashing the VZN specific stuff. -

My backup root is a stand alone app from market thru which u can backup just apps their data and the other data of phone like SMS contacts call logs settings as per ur discretion. It had its limitations. Nandroid backup is a feature of ur cwm recovery this backs up every single thing of ur current from. Its like a mirror image of ur rom from every setting to every app, every single thing in it. Only thing that it won't backup ur kernel and radio but then they can't be backed up thru any procedure.
