phonebook transfer (phone to .csv)can be done by LG service centre too, by paying some small amount of Rs. 75.00 or so..

i'm not home right now, so dont know whether it has pc sync or not, if the lg phone does not have pc sync, will the lg service centre guys still be able to transfer the contacts to a csv file?

And if you don't insist on OMH, get Palm Pixi Wi-Fi Model.. Around Rs. 5,500... Great Value/Features At That Price Compared to all the above...

once it is transferred to csv ,how do i transfer it to my new phone , suppose samsung mpower tv?

To export contacts from LG to csv use LG PC sync software.

To import contacts from csv to Samsung use Samsung PC sync software.

k. i'll take a look if i can sync it with the pc myself(if i have the cable) otherwise i'll try the lg service center.

my dad has a reliance cdma postpaid connection

i plan to get a new OMH handset for him preferably with evdo ( i have posted a thread for this in the handset suggestion section)

now i have some doubts about OMH .. if someone could clarify them it would be great

where do i get the OMH sim from? what is the process? how much is it going to cost me?

the phone he currently has is a 4 year old LG colour handset with fm. i think it does not have a sim in it, the phone is programmed with the number.

is that an issue? will i be able to get this converted to an OMH sim?

he has like 500 contacts on them, now if i get an OMH sim , how can i transfer them to the sim? will reliance do it for me?

i have some other queries too

i like the cdma networks because they are congestion free. but when will they get 3g services like video calling? is there any plans of auction of spectrum for them by the government?

i need to buy a CDMA handset for my dad.

It has to be an OMH.

budget : 5k

requirements:

camera, bluetooth, PC sync, Memory card support, music player(mp3) ,EVDO ( not a must as he wont use the net much but would definitely be preferred)

please give your suggestions
