There is no nam file needed ... all you need is 1> SPC CODE of your handset 2> Prl File 3> Akey 4> Dump file.... 5> the MEID to be reg on reliance... then simply transfer your number to the meid then *228 and you are done....
Is your meid registered??

Query no. 1 has been answered in this topic. I understand that simultaneous voice and data doesn't work on CDMA2000 1xRTT but would still like to know that if 1x data is on but on *idle mode*, then would calls come through?
Thanks.
It all depends... I mean android keeps syncing Gmail contacts etc... Whats app etc also needs continues connection... It all depends if both the times the calls and data clashes... How can you judge of your handset is in idle mode and no one is calling you???? Unless your missed call alert is active and you randomly receive an SMS that someone tried to can you... Better way get evdo activated of you wish to use voice and data together...
One more thing voice and data simultaneously is also handset depended... Like if your call is active it is possible that your data is on hold... Few handsets support simultaneous calling and data... Like s3, HTC EVO lte etc...

I have a Reliance postpaid CDMA connection and the number has been retained on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
I now wish to convert to prepaid.
Can anyone guide me on the best way to go about?
Do I have to get a new sim and go about the process of retaining RSN all over again? Or just an written application or something would do?
Any help/ guidance will be appreciated.
You'll need to submit your documents again... Clear all your bills... They may ask you some fee for conversion... Thats it... You are done...

just spoke to him on phone... what he did was an OTA update... he just downloaded the complete JELLY BEAN ROM and flashed didn't downgrade... and then programmed it again... and was successful...
-
Yes... i do remember i had an evdo issue in one of my sprint s3 which had JB... tried programming it sevral times... never faced any issue of wrtting min or akey on s3 but yes did faced same problem or writing Akey and min on another handsets which was solved by the process i mentioned...
-
Go back to stock ics palen and then do it. You cannot program on anything other than the palen rom. That will work
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 2
that will be the last option... but i think it should work the way...
-
Offline D... put the phone in offline mode wait for a min or two before writting...
-
ofcourse they are on different tabs... Writing MIN, MDN, & Akey together means writing all those at the same time... go to nam tab write min & mdn... do not reset the device yet then come to cave write the akey... and then reset... yes it goes into offline mode... but still do it manually...
-
are you able to go in diag mode???
it seems you will ahve to try sevral steps... try these... i've came across sevral devices same model but are programmed in different ways... the difference may be due to rom or something... not sure... but worked...
try writing the Akey aong with the min number and MDN.... if no success... try putting the phone in airplane mode / put the phone in offline mode through cdma workshop... and then writing Akey and min together...
-
i did exactly all the steps mentioned and my phone restarted on its own after the process, but i still do not find any reliance network on my phone
which handset you using? pm me the details... or can contact me anytime...

The Best and the Most simplest way that i use is using "SMART APP PROTECTOR"
Play Store Link > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sp.protector.free&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zcC5wcm90ZWN0b3IuZnJlZSJd
it has varios options of locking app like numeric, pattern, alphanumeric etc... very much satisfied... and works like a charm... i strongly recommend to use this...
simply...
1> Install it.
2> Enable it
3> Change the Default password
4> Go to the Running tab and add the apps you wish to lock
5> DONE !
-
good the problem is solved.... take care...
-
One more thing... Are you able to listen to mp3 songs...??? If by chance you had inserted headphones... The set still may be in headphone mode...!! <br /><br />Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

May be some application installed is disturbing... Try removing the apps you installed or rest the device... Some times funny things happen that we don't expect... I remember... Once a guy had same issue after hrs of R & D... Finally found he had covered & blocked the mic hole with special mobile coating sheet... without seeing the actual set we can just keep guessing what all things can be possible... Good luck...

Where can I find the reliance Nam file.
I am stuck at this step 7) Now go to Nam Tab and press load and select Reliance.nam and press write.
I only have a PRL file that i Got from the tutorial on Desidime.
It is the same link given my the Reputed reseller who registered my MEID
In the message he has sent all the keys etc. And a txt. file.
Not nam file I tried loading the text file it says not a valid name file.
Am I doing something wrong? or am I supposed to recieve a nam file instead of txt (using CDMA workshop 2.7
There is no nam file... all you need is 1> SPC CODE 2> Prl File 3> Akey 4> Dump file.... 5> the MEID to be reg on reliance... then simply transfer your number to the meid then *228 and you are done.... call me if need assistance...

I Agree its hard to judge whether to follow this or not... but i think the question itself answers it... "IF SUCH A REPUTED COMPANY ANS RESORT MALPRACTICES WHY NOT OTHER MANUFACTURES... " its all about life... and fate / luck... all we can do is keep good hope or say try to be as healthy as possible so that WE DON'T NEED ANY KIND OF MEDICINE to be a victim of some mistake / fraud prevention is better than cure...
JIYO JEE BHAR KE !!...
all the very best for good health / life...
However, recent story of RANBAXY < which was fined by US Govt to the tune of ~2800 Cr. ($ 500 Million), raises serious concern about Indian Drug Manufacturers quality control & integrity. We can't generalize based on one incident, but IF such a reputed (???) company like Ranbaxy can resort to such malpractices, why not other manufacturers ?? Ultimately making money is their prime focus..

Ofcourse the meid must be registered... If it wasn't it should have not activated the phone... Pls check and post What error you hear when you dial a number???
Sometimes it does happen the server needs some time to refresh... Technically speaking
VRL needs to be refreshed... (guess this must be the save case with you)
