  1. ..

music player can be controlled by voice but works partly... or say 5 times out of 10 attempts... etc...

The voice control issue may be related to accent & tone. Please elaborate on where you find it lacking compare to S3.

Maybe... but the same voice accent works flawlessly in s3 while typing through voice etc...

As I already gave an example of chrome / the default web browser it simply hangs and shuts every 5-10 mins... You need to restart the application in menu... I never saw this in s3...

My point is as s3 is flawless in its every function... but S4...

What makes s4 different from s3...

Auto scroll... wont call it accurate...

Auto video pause... I've noticed it our eyes are under proper light then and only then it works...

The air view thing... is good but most of times it works as a tap and hold function in gallery... Won't show the contents in folder...

  2. Have been using this baby since few days ...

the touch and the screen are beyond comparison...

The features are good... but at certain points I found this below s3...

the handset becomes a bit laggy if any function is used more than 5-10 mins... example chrome... it simply hangs and shuts...

The auto scroll thing doesn't work flawlessly...

  3. Hi,

I have recently bought an HTC Desire T328D VC hendset (CDMA + GSM). Earlier I was using Samsung Corby Speed SCH-F339 Handset for which I upgraded my Reliance CDMA UIM to an OMH card.

On my previous handset (Samsung) I was able to surf the net and access Mobile TV etc directly without connecting to Internet/wi-fi etc.

I have simply transferred the UIM to the new HTC handset and now the mobile Data does turn on at all. It shows "Turning On.." for a long time and then gets Disconnected. I am able to use wi-fi to access internet properly but unable to access net using mobile network directly.

The network bars on the handset show both 1x and Ev bars (at least 3-4 bars each).

I have even done a factory reset of my handset but that didn't do anything.

With the UIM, by default an APN settings appear which is read only and I cannot change it. I have tried adding new APN settings based on suggestion from RIM customer care but I do not have any option of enabling/choosing the new APN as the handset sticks to the default APN settings only.

I have also noticed that the default APN settings show a weired username (like 000...36) which is not my number. Please help as I am planning to travel in a few weeks and the main reason I switched to the new handset was so that I could use an Google navigation system while travelling!!

If this is not a handset issue and this forum is not the right place, please excuse me for that and guide me accordingly as this is my first post here.

    Regards,

    Narendra Ran

try adding a new apn.. if i am correct with HTC sense... you'll see 3 dots on the upper right corner in the apn menu which will give you option to add apn...

    Add apn as follows...

Profile Name:- (anything of your choice)

    Number to dial :- #777

    user name :- net

    Password :- net

and save... restand the device and try connecting... hope this solves the problem...

  4. It does not seem like hardware problem... Might be network... If you have any other omh handset try your Sim I'm that you'll come to know if its your Handset or network... After reset you don't need to activate omh... You'll need to check apn settings... I suggest you check the apn settings before reset...

  6. Hi, this is great information i came across... in our country medicines are usually prescribed (by our doctors) by brand name and not by the generics (ingredients). Hence we often end up paying more money for the same medicine...

Follow these few steps to know more and start saving on your medical bills. Refer to the attached screen shots.

    1. Log on to www.medguideindia.com

    2. Click on 'Drugs'

    3. Click on 'Brand'

    4. Type the brand name which you are using e. g., Metocard XL (50 mg). The site will also help you with drop down menu. Click on 'Search'

    5. Click on 'Generics'. It will display the ingredients of the tablet.

    6. Click on 'matched brands'

    7. Don't be surprised to see that same drug is available at very low cost also. And that to by other reputed

manufacturer. e. g., Metocard XL 50 is for Rs. 64.00 and the same drug by Cipla (Mepol) is available @

    Rs. 7.00 only!

  7. Kunal,

I am also facing EVDO issues but am unable to access DDTM settings even after I enabled the hidden menu.

I am on stock Jelly Bean on US Cellular S3

What exactly is your problem??? Evdo issues means u not able to get proper speed or something???

DDTM can be accessed by ##data# then EVDO... you'll need your msl which is usually 000000 (six times zero)... Any further help... feel free to call up... I'll be glad if I'm of some help...

2 Whenever i tried to Trun off /On mobile data from notification area its asking me to "insert Sim card to access network services" However i am able to Off/ On data from Settings.

well it wont work on the notification area, for data you always need to go to settings and switch on and off.

Atleast that was what hetalji told me for my USC S3 brought from him.

you can even use a toggle widget for the same... no need to go to settings... place a shortcut widget on home screen... here is one.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.miabit.android.dataonoff&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd

  9. Hi... DDTM setting can be accessed by ##3282# but in us cellular we need to activate hidden menu which can be done by *#22745927

And as for data toggle... You can download any widget from play store...

  10. There have been numerous reports that reliance evdo is not working well these days.

I M sure the seller had flashed the settings before shipping.

Are you sure you had got your evdo deactivated on your old handset before getting the mdn retained on s3. Coz now a days reliance people are in fact Deactivating evdo if proper procedure is not followed.

Try and complaint about the same.

Best idea is to get evdo De activated first and then getting it re activated on your rsn again.

Yes proper procedure was followed... I think it's something related to jb update as read in some of the other posts... Will try another update and see... If that works...
