  1. They may delay it again due to hopeless MTNL and BSNL. Seriously, BSNL can be ranked as the WORLD'S WORST MOBILE OPERATOR. They are too lazy. They have 3G spectrum in hand and they won't launch 3g services. And now MNP. THEY ****
  2. Sim Hacking

    It's FAKE!
  3. Vodafone is the Best operator in Karnataka. Period. Next comes Airtel.
  4. ^^I called from Vodafone
  5. ^^Yup! I confirmed it from their CC. They are launching tomorrow.
  6. ^^DOCOMO is also offering 1p/2sec to ANY local phone(Atleast in Bangalore). I don't think pumping in crazy amount money is going to work anymore!
  7. ^^But still how low can they go?? If uninor can offer something cheaper..than even others can offer that tariff! its that simple..! Also, if they keep the tariffs tooo low, they 'may' get few subsribers along with huge losses...then whats the point in doing business? I feel what Airtel told a month back abt new entrants is 100% true: "They(new entrants) have nothing else to offer other than lower tariffs. They don't have any viable business model." And when it comes to MTS, i damn don't understand with what (over) confidence they started operations using CDMA technology!!! When the deep pocket player like TATA Indicom which entered the market 'almost' a decade is still in losses and shifted to GSM! And also, MTS's Marketing skills are extremely poor. For example When DOCOMO entered Bangalore(karnataka Circle), EVERYONE of my friends knew abt it withing 2days of its launch! Whereas even now after almost 1 month, hardly someone(~5%) knows about MTS! I feel sorry for Uninor coz they have a VERY VERY tough challenge ahead. But i DON'T feel sorry for MTS. They deserve a shutdown of their business..sooner or later. I still can't understand what's their concept behind using messed up CDMA..which consumers avoid it like plague..
  8. Yes dude. I saw those tariffs ~2days back..and i was like WTF! Don't these guys atleast read newspaper?! Who the hell is going to buy a connection from a totally new operator and that when its call charges are many many times more than the biggies! I don't think Uninor for that matter even MTS can survive Even if they launch some extreme low tariffs, the existing ops like DOCOMO,Airtel,Vodafone will launch a counter tariff in a day! Anyways good luck to them..
  9. I can't imagine how much Airtel and Vodafone CEO's will be cursing docomo!! Its killing their business royally! Good going docomo
  10. Wasn't this Indicom 10 launched few years ago..?!
  11. Aircel and all are small operators. We need a reply from biggies aka Airtel...Vodafone... Or atleast !dea..
  12. Problem is no other operator is responding to these plans Example, 1sec pulse. Nobody except BSNL has replied to it. And iam 100% sure no other bigger player like Airtel or Vodafone will even think of offering GPRS at these rates..coz their networks will die if many users start using GPRS aggressively!
  13. ^^I have posted the GPRS speed of DOCOMO somewhere in this forum.. Download speed was ~117kbps.
  14. Awesome:) When the hell will this MNP start... I must say, Docomo became a huge hit. Most of my college students changed to Docomo. And also Only docomo's signal is available consistently all across our campus Great going docomo.. Keep it up
  15. ^^In Vodafone, outgoing call gets disconnected after 30min!
  16. Operators will use this 3G spectrum only to reduce the congestion in voice(2G)spectrum which is good for us again. I feel Vodafone will offer the best and cheapest(hope so) 3G data in GSM bcoz of their international expertise. Heard that they offer 7.2Mbps in UK.
  17. Also what if i don't want to change my mobile number?
  18. Tata Docomo Launched

One more thing, my dad uses Tata Indicom CDMA and i found that even indicom has pretty bad coverage when compared to Vodafone :|
  19. Tata Docomo Launched

Well, i have been to Andhra Pradesh using my Vodafone as well as Docomo SIM. I had to travel across deepest and very remote villages/areas and found that most of the places, Docomo network was not present and it automatically selected Idea, which had quite decent coverage. But i found Vodafone's coverage to be amazing..i never lost the vodafone network anywhere across AP-Karnataka.. It was just Brilliant.. Conclusion: Its not a good idea to go for Docomo now if you travel frequently across remote areas...
  20. ^^Yeah! Also now even the Private operators like Airtel and Vodafone are having wide coverage on par with BSNL..so MNP will be bane for BSNL!
  21. Tata Docomo Launched

^^How much did u pay for that fancy number?
  22. Tata Docomo Launched

Theres no rule that roaming agreement should not be there in Home circle! When Hutch started its operations in Karnataka, they used Airtel as the startup network! i.e we could use Airtel wherever Hutch wasn't present..even in Karnataka!!
  23. Tata Docomo Launched

Ya i know but just asked him to try it. May be Docomo is having roaming agreement even in AP whereever Docomo is not available at the moment. Come on theres nothing to loose by trying!
