    I tested calls, SMS and data working on reliance Cdma precut sim. Activated on boost Mobile but still WiFi hotspot not working it seems like while activating we have to select WiFi hotspot add-on plans. After activation it shows GSM/ UMTS option in mobile networks. Also got msl/spc code. Will check with BSNL 3g tonight and update.

    Yes if you update with GSM sim GSM call sms & data works perfectly but if you try to change sim cards it will reset back to LTE cdma only. Then no GSM will work and cdma data will also not work.     Hi anybody tried with US Cellular moto e 2nd gen. Can someone confirm the same working on rcdma call ,sms & data. Here is amazon link.

    No way to get DATA on 5.1 installed Moto E.

    so stay away from this update.

    Update: From Yesterday My data got working automatically. [anyone knws the reason or solution? i just raise the complaint before 2 days ago that data is not working]

    I too raised service request through instacare app for data not working after 5.1 update. Now lets see out come of service request.

    Now the question is that data is working on RUIM from which complain have been made or any another RUIM with different MDN.

    You should put your new SIM in.

    Then after the above described 'hack', you would be able to dial. You will likely get a message stating "unable to activate".

    Head over to the online chat customer care and complain that after putting new SIM and dialing *228 I get "unable to activate".

    They will give you a complain reference number. Wait for one day. You should get a call on your alternate number soon.

    My Verizon moto e 2nd gen does not support *228 call, when i try to call msg displayed is "you can't dial this Number" i am on 5.1 lollipop os.

    From last 8 days rcdma network was very low in my residence area near medical square, nagpur. Call and data was very hard to connect and was frequently dropping. Made many complaints to cc, nodal office and raised service request through instacare app. Visited reliance mobile store also. Mobile store person told me that some network upgradation work was going on so there will be problem of at least five days. From yesterday evening the network was far better than previous we used to recieve. Indoor signal have also increased. So i think rcdma is serious in improving cdma networks. Keep it up rcdma.

    I m raising this issue because new android updates are blocking cdma data in imported handset. I updated my Verizon moto e to android lollipop 5.1 and not able to get data work and i m forced to use data over wifi. In lollipop updates diagnostic port is also blocked so no hope to configure data using DFS or any roll back option to previous os. We are left same as windows imported phones in which we are not able to get data due to security features. In india if cdma is still alive because of good voice clarity, better coverage and cheap data and foreign imported handsets at cheap rates. But latest android security features are killing hopes of getting data and indian cdma service providers are also not interested in reviving cdma services. Now only 4g is only hope for getting fast and cheap data using GSM handsets. Rcom is also planning to launch 4g services over 800 mhz band with collabration with MTS. Pl comment and give your views about the same.

    XT1528 can be downgraded to 5.0.2. Firmwares are available online. Can be flashed by fastboot too.

    After updating my Verizon moto e 2nd generation to 5.1 lollipop version the ruim data stops working. Pl do not update. Pl any guru here suggest me how to roll back to previous version i,e 5.0.3 version or how to connect phone to diag mode to pc so that data setting may be updated as we do in lg tribute. Any one offering paid service pl do pm. Thanks

    Hello friends any sweet deal for LG tribute from abroad. I ordered 2 from Kmart USA through ishop, but after my order the price hiked to 79$ for one. They also suggested from amazon which is at 57$, ishop mailed me that I have to pay extra or they can cancel the order & refund me. I m very unlucky because on in geb.eBay also i2c world cancelled my two orders.
