    I'm on Note 3 by Sprint, the screen had dual hoziontal window s view cover before I got it I guess. Because when I use the phone if the background is full white I can clearly see 2 horizontal discoloration. That instant I knew it's due that cover. It's because if UV exposure with that cover. Only the open section of the screen was exposed to outside UV.

    Wi-Fi s**ks big time. Not as instant as earlier galaxy S series.

    I have also compared Quadrant and Antutu scores with LG G2 & Note 3, though the numeric scores have a big difference, when one tries to run same programmes on both there is a mili second lead in the Note.

    If you are person who is always on the move then this phone is not recommended, if you have a car to move around at ALL TIMES & have all the time in the world then maybe you can go for this.

    I would recommend the G2 the best compared to any phone on RIMWEB.

    Hmm alreday ordered a note 3, looks like need to rethink.

    Yup another G2 user here, who can vouch for G2 against Note 3. I had a chance to play with friend's Note 3 for a while. I was not so impressed. But when I got G2 in my hand, WOW is the first thing which came to my mind.

    BTW anyone able to get data working on OMH for LS980 KK?

    Hi friends,

    I sent mail to Netconnect.Broadband@relianceada.com for activation of EVDO twice. 1st time for activation of EVDO and 2nd time for Reprovisioning of EVDO. Both the time i got reply that EVDO has been activated on my number, but I am getting 1X only.

    Please suggest to resolve the issue. Without data ON, i am able to see network type EVDO Rev. A

    Please check if the issue has been resolved. Just got this update from my friend from Reliance.

    Will try to reactivate HSD as suggested by many here. Will update here. :)

    I also have a similar issue where it says EVDO is active but getting only 1X speed only.

    Mine was fixed by reprovisioning EVDO. If shooting a mail to Netconnect.Broadband@relianceada.com didnt help for you, PM me. I shall try to get it done by a friend in Reliance.

    UPDATE: Please hold on to flash TWRP before someone finds a better way. As of now Download mode and TWRP wont work at the same time.

    Once you flash TWRP using flashify app, it wont boot to the custom recovery unless the phone is downgraded to ZV8 aboot. But this will break Download Mode.

    So if you need to use Download mode, flash ZVC Radio to fix download mode, but this will break recovery this time. Inorder to use TWRP, you need to downgrade aboot again.

    WARNING: IF YOU DOWNGRADE TO ZV8 ABOOT WITHOUT FLASHING THE TWRP, IT WILL RESULT IN HARD BRICK!! RECOMMEND NOT TO TRY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

    Is there any custom recovery compatible with ZVC?

    There is but it breaks something in the phone, had read on xda but maybe there is a way to install.

    Why custom recovery? Mind if I ask?

    Yes downgrading to ZV8 ABOOT will break download mode. Flash ZVC Radio to fix download mode.

    TWRP is very much possible with ZVC. I did the research and now on to it. Received my LS980 last day. :smartass:

    EDIT: Decided to stay TWRPless for a bit more. Please read the post below.

    I too recently changed my handset from Photon to Moto G like VA(forum member). Before shifting to new handset, I requested thru Instacare to stop EVDO. Next day I got a call from Reliance that EVDO has been stopped. To my surprise, I still found it active on my Photon. Again confirmed with Reliance CC, got reply that system says it is no more active. But actually it was still active on handset.

    Knowing all these, I shifted to Moto G. When send HSD to 55444(postpaid) got reply that EVDO is already active on new phone. Now sent a mail to Reliance about de-activation of EVDO on old MEID and activation on new MEID. For the same I got confirmation call also. Now EVDO on old phone is stopped, but on new phone no EVDO till now. On new phone, when data is disabled, network type shows "EVDO Rev A". But as soon as I enable data it switches to 1XRTT. Gurus please help to sort out the issue for EVDO activation. Thanks

    Shoot a mail to Netconnect.Broadband@relianceada.com for EVDO Reprovisioning. Thats how i get reprovisioning done and its a sureshot method.

    now i'm inspired to use u.s. phones for the $20 credit

    lets see if it applies to my 1st trip on that account

    here's a way to save time with unique emails

    for about rs. 1/day you can register a domain with any company

    avoid net4india since this feature is not offered with the basic registration

    then you can setup a wildcard / default id to which any incoming mail / verification can be fwd

    so you get unlimited unique verifiable mails @ your domain name

    instead of creating dozens of dummy webmails which you will never use again

    a single $20 uber credit will cover almost 4 years of domain renewal charges!

    one day they will start requiring unique cards for the credit but until then enjoy free rides...

    The flag is India only. My number as well. I didnt continue signing up, since I'm not in a UBER facilitated city yet. BTW it doesnt seems like $20 credit, its $20 off first ride offer. Does the offer/credit expires if I dont use it over a period of time?

    BTW didnt follow you on wildcard part. Please help me understand. Always eager to learn/know new new things :P

    Change contacts to +91 instead of 0.

    Whatsapp deleting non users from list. My friend had 3 numbers, at one time he had whatsapp on all 3, but then he stopped using 2. Though it showed whatsapp icon next to it wether that person is using it or not. Now if a number is active it's highlighted in blue & numbers which are not active do not show the whatsapp icon anymore.

    But if I do that,i wont be able to call those numbers anymore right? Cuz Reliance doesn't support +91 calling

    +91 calling works just fine with my RCDMA.

    that would be awesome but its ONLY for that country

    i.e., your $20 credit will work in the US only

    in theory

    but test it out if you have usa phones to register

    how will the indian drivers contact you to confirm the trip?

    I registered with Indian mobile number only. But the promo code is giving me $ discounts instead of INR credits.
