There is no way you can back up SMS from CDMA handsets. Atleast till 2865 model.
-
Dont they bundle data cable? It can transfer by BT also. So why not to try BT (Dongle cost about 250 only) thate than spending on cable.

700W if available cheaper than 6700 then its a good handset. Only draw back is 240X240 pixel resolution. It can be used with same sort of solution as 6700. BTW are you useing it? I am very happy with 700P (Palm OS)

Though I have not repaired or seen handset with such problem, you can try following 1. Try flashing your phone with otriginal ROM all, WM5, Radio and extended. 2. If still not work, try replacing boot loader and reflash with original flashes again. 3. If nothing works, means it is probably hardware issue.

For those who think globally many people uses 3G please read this. There are hardly 6% of total subscribers using 3G, of which 4% belongs to GSM. http://www.gsmworld.com/news/statistics/pd...stats_q1_07.pdf

Yes 700P on reliance, every thing is possible of course I was guided by some one in canada who has mastered treos. If u have 700P or 755P and want to use on reliance let me know, I will assist you in doing so. In treo they removed delivery reports from many OEM as well as non OEM devices. In some ROM versions it is available so some tweaking may get you SMS delivery report.

Though you guys are discussing about BB and related device, I put my answer here because there is mention of Treo and I am using treo 700P without push mail. This is my 4th PDA, incidently 2nd Palm. Treo700 (Almost same as 680 / 750 P) Does not has SMS delivery report. I got activated by flshing it with old Sprint ROM. Very stable. At times better than WM5 / WM6. Speaker phone is good, seldom freeze, excellent syncing (WM is no where near to palm as far as syncing is concern). Screen resolution is far far superior than my PPC 6700. Superb threaded SMS. Palm is said to support BB too, but not aware.

Opera Mini On Tata's Brew Handsets
kshah replied to nilesh_ku's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Customized opera mini connects to specified proxy, hence fever errors and greater speed. -
Signal strength is probably because to make cheap handsets, every one us giving very low capacity batteries from 650 mAH to Max 800 mAH, color screens, media support, memory card consomes far more power than B&W handsets which were too provided with 800-900 mAH. So to extend battery life, I think new handsets trasmits at lower wattages, hence lsesser signals. I have compared KRZR with SAM 191, Nokia 6155 and my treo 700P, I think KRZR has worst network performance amongst all and has lowest capacity battery too.

I spent US $ 25 for fake solution. :'(

As far as I know none of Nokia CDMA supports call recording. However I have seen such settings in diego. But i wasnot sucessful in activating it on 6155, 3125 and 6225. Try activating it using diego and see if it works.

Happy new year to all RIM web members. I came across article in Gujarati science magzine called safari (www.safari-india.com) about querty keyboard. Thn while googling there is so much info available about DVORAK keyboard. I came across this articles which says DVORAK keyboard is far superior than QUERTY key boards we use right now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvorak_Simplified_Keyboard It says that finger has to travel 1 mile on DVORAk over 16 miles in QUERTY Just go though it and lets try this key board. Because if it is less harmful to us then what the harm in trying it?

It seems simbian phones are better in SE than Nokia. I did little research before 3-4 months to buy GSM. I found SE better than Nokias in symbian. P990i is simply superb. Now they have come out with p1i and without can there was one model forgot model number was superb.

I have not so worst experiance of nokia may be because O am using cheap hndset but to change body of 6155 they took abt 25 days and they do not have BL-6c bat in stock, if ordered wll tke 15 days. I had to seat in queue for 45 mins to give handset for repair and 25 mins to get back. Even behavour of ASC or reseller is not upto the mark. Their call center is better than others ofcourse I saw Sony E and bought k750i, for my father I must say they make better handsets than nokias. Even Moto KRZR CDMA bought for my partner is far better than Nokia 6265 0r 6275. Till now I had been admirer of nokia not fan. But now I dont even admire.

There are two ways K1Mget connected to PC, mass storage mode and modem mode. For PC sync it should be Modem mode.settings ->connections -> usb settings

PPC 6700 is one of the option. No ordinery phone asof now offer such high SMS storage capacity. Only smart phones can.

here you go. http://rapidshare.com/files/71187090/Engli...._WM_5.rar.html

I dont know how they make different qualities but I have used PPC 6700 from verizon, sprint and reliance and reliance handset though it was hardly used has poor keyboard, keyboard slide and buttons. If you compare two handsets side by side, then you will realize. I have seen this with even Nokia 6030, Motoroala and imate kjam too.

why dont you try slovoed? IF you need it let me know.

Thanks Buddy. Still I am not sure & totally confused which handset I shall purchase. Beacuse before Nokia 6265, I have used LG RD 6130 & according to my experience, battery back up was pathetic & once the battery drains out, you can not switch on again just to refer the phone book also!! But in Nokia phones, at least, you can switch on & can refer phone book. My basic need is r-connect, large phone book, PC sync, Very good battery backup, External memory support, Blue tooth & a basic camera for urgent clicking any item. MP3 & video recording are not must. I was very happy with my present 6265 but from last 2 months it is giving me lots of trouble & its warranty is going to be expired on next month & that is why I just want to sell it off & want to purchase a handset, not very costly but not very cheap also because CDMA's resale value is really pathetic. Can any one help me out with some suggestions please? Regards, Shantanu I will suggest you to consider buying moto KRZR (Dont know much about RAZR but may be RAZR too) but it has 1000 phone book, good battery backup, standard USB cable (This is best part, so your phone is charged when you use on laptop), supports modem, USB mass storage device, good camara, bluetooth, ecellent music player. No radio. It cost 10.5K. And probably above all, MOTOROLA may have better services than nokia. Nokia took more than 25 days to change body of my 6155. Its BL6C battery is not available in service station because not commonly used in GSM. Etc etc. And if you can wait for 3-6 months or so, wait, you may be able to migrate to GSM.
