Its not worth wasing money on hero. Though it is really great handset for given price, infact superior than many midrange handset. Unlocking softwares are not free and people may ask u 500 bucks to unlock.

its surprising that phone looses network due to CE ROM. Anyway, then it is always better to flash phone with original ROM downloaded from UTSTAR site first.

It is if your phone supports ## codes then ##7764726 1XEVDO Data parameters: DATA_SO_OPTION: IS 707 (It is not IS 95 as I mentioned in my previous post) if you choose Pre IS 707 then you get this error If ## codes are not supported then you have to do this with PST.

I dont know how it started working but it is not the problem which can be solved with external interfaces. You need to make adjustment with PST. (Service programming) it is preIS95 or IS95 mode of data connectivity problem. And its neither RADIO ROM nor CE ROM problem, its setting related issue. I have flashed my phone thrice with radio and CE ROM and wasted whole day due to this problem

I dont kn ow why you do research on car invertor, you require simple car charger. If you really want good charger then do following 1. Buy Nokia car charger ORIGINAL May cost you 400-500 bucks 2. Go to elecronic spare shop, buy female connector for nokia charger plug (Which goes in phone) 3 Also buy male connector for your FWP / FWT what ever. 4. Go home 5. Assuming that you have soldering iron and you know solder. 6. See FWP where plug goes in, you will see where is +ve and -VE 7. Based on which solder wires between socket and plug. 8. Put socket on car charger and plug in phone and you go. Invertors are different technology. Else there is a very good car charger available with many plugs, selectable voltage and polarity. It is Indian make (Some good company) but forgot name.

In past I bought cable from WW and they charged me Rs. 400for CA-42, which was really good cable with warranty and bill from WW. One should try them rather than spending on cheap after market cables. Prolific cables do wrok but compatibility of Software, driver, cable and handset makes it too complicated. Rather choose cables which is identified as orginal cable (As one I bought from WW, it was identified as CA-42 cable)

is it CDMA + GSM or CDMA OR GSM. I mean can both network remain on simultanously and receive call? It seems to be either of them CDMA OR GSM

I saw motoMing and some other Linux based handset. Both were very reasonably priced and real good features. Now it really tempts me to switch over to GSM from CDMA. Day by day voice clarity and data speed in reliance is decreasing and also now prices are not as cheap as before. Also when phone goes off its real pain to get standby handset and eventually lands up spending much more on handset than GSM.

It does not lock to particular MIN, but locked to MIN range. Its just patching of right place in bin.

Moto Q is a good style but not as functional as PPC 6700. If 20K then its definately well priced product. Unlike Reliances 6700 which cost 32K. But will still prefer 6700 over Moto Q \ And now statrted beliving that spending money on GSM is always better than CDMA

lols.. ok if u say that mms is authenticated after verifying esn of handset...right n sms delivery wid min den do 1 thing enter ur RUIM esn/min info in ppc..den what? all ruim enabled handset get delivery n mms.... now u cant say dat esn or min is a issue.... I tried that too. There seems to be two problems: 1. the way sender is authenticated. 2. QNC connection. 6700 I am not yet able to connect using QNC any idea how QCN is connected.

Also I spoke to samsung helpline they are not aware about availability of data cable. THey promised me to revert with information in a day or two. Dont spend on this phone.

Ofcourse with charger connected. 2 hours is maximum requirement. Most conferences last for 45 mins. max.

I tried it can record conversation only if used on speaker phone. It records what comes in microphone not on speaker. PPC said to have hardware limitations not all PPC but HTC made I know about (Arun sent me link for such article, hence I know)
