usually sprite or spb backup do not restore backup when OS is upgraded. And I think none of then back up and restore SMS. This one does.

Once you install main ROM you have to reinstall extended ROM. All customization comes in place after installation of extended rom progs. Means after you get message that now your device will be customized in few seconds blah blah blah. In short, you have to unlock extended rom, put reliance customization extended rom files, hard reset your device.

How can you see reliance connection? Do you have original reliance 6700? or bought from some where else? You can try installing reliance extended ROM files.

Before you really go for a ISO or hire consultant ask few questions to yourself and company. 1. Do you really need ISO 9000 (in most cases answer is yes) 2. Do you want to get it because your competition has it? If this answer is yes, then I will suggest you to go slow and estimate your needs for ISO. 3. When ever you hire consultants, keep 22 things in minnd about them, there are consultant who gets you ISO in flat 3 months and work is based on templates. So at times procedures becomes so lengthy and complicated that companies fails to comply in day to day activities. They finish all forged paper work when ever they have audit. Try to design system which is easy to follow, documentation which is not cumbersome. If your company is manufacturing firm, then documentation design on templates really do not work.

also PCMCIA is now obsolete and has compatibility issues too. USB is now best option.

beware before you really spend on GSM data solutions, I recently saw airtel data card in Ahmedabad (I dont know if ahmedabad has EDGE or not) but speed was absolutely pathetic. Of course reliance is now no better speed is worsening day by day atleast in Ahmedabad.

Welcome Upgrade to AKU 3.5, first thing. Is AKU 3.5 good? I mean stable? Does it cost too much of memory? Is there any way to restore lost SMS after upgrading to AKU 3.5?

I already enabled the option for SMS delivery thru reg hack, but that doesn't actually enable the SMS delivery for me. Even when the 'Request Message delivery notification' option is checked, I never have received any such notification. I want to enable delivery notification very badly...it is very handy at times. Any help is appreciated. If handset is from reliance only registry hack is not enough. you have to remove reliance customization in extended rom. it can not be enabled till hard reset but prior to than unlocked extended ROM and removal of customization cabs.

almost after 4 weeks I am replying on RIMWEB due to sickenss. MMS is installed on verizon handsets. It seems reliance MMS server is authenticating handset using ESN. Settings of MMS are easy though locked on verizon, it can be unlocked using customized extended ROM. Another reason why reliance has disabled SMS delivery acknowldge, when SMS is delivered sent by 6700, acknowledgement comes with MIN number and not MDN as it should be. This could be because of configuration issue at reliance end. If you want I can prove that. I just send you SMS and I have your MIN number.

just off beat suggestion, dont go on PMPO it has no meaning. Go for system which has 40-50 W RMS. Usually you will see PMPO which is absolutely misleading and has no meaning.

No PRL can not be updated by *228, I tried for international roaming PRL. Only MIN is getting updated in RUIM. I dont know if newer RUIM PRL can be updated.

RUIM cards are accepted by GSM and shows network, provided it has information similar to PRL is loaded on it or it supports over the air SIM / RUIM update for available network. GSM SIM contains some details about networks but when you go say for international roaming, then it can be updated for available network. Where SIM querries all available network and store data in SIM to registeith network.
