I have one excellent quality, almost like new with RUIM, landed cost 14.5K I could not flash handset with image I had to convert to RUIM. Bad luck.

I am been using BSNL broadband since more than a year and has not faced problems except for couple of hours twice or thrice. They respond to complaint faster and speed is excellent, with my business 1200 plan I get download speed of 30-34 KBPS. Almost 100- 105% of defined speed. Lowest I get is 24 KBPS, which is again almost 80% which is acceptable norm worldwide.

I will have one 6600 by monday, i.e. 29th Dec in my hand. My landed cost is 14.5K. You will get following with handset: 1. XV 6600 handset with RUIM support 2. I think if say for example, 6265 ruim is put in 6235 and if 6235 is identified as 6265 to network them it should work, provided ruim handset is not sending psudo esn too to system. (Psudo esn is esn of handset and if those numbers are stored in system), following seems to necessary settings: 1. MIN 2. SSD A (Shared secret data A) 3. SSD B (probably) 4. profile name 5. ESN BTW R WORLD key can be probably programmed using Diego or you can simply disable browser by *#browser# to avoid any misuse (of expensive service)

If you are looking at functionalities of Kyo7135, then Nokia 6265 is going to be waste of money. Believe me.

GSM equiments are cheaper and operators do not have to subsidize handsets like CDMA. Also their investments on interconnectivity reduces due to wide spread technology, especially for roaming agreements. Globally most CDMA operators are moving towards GSM, lke china unicom, Telstra- australia, Vivo-brazil, Hutchison - Hongkong etc. Though GSM is not very spectrum efficient, but most mobile users (2/3) globally are happy with it so why operator invest for users?

disconnect activesync first, once disconnected, connect phone using USB cable, start WMODEM, then phone should be detected as modem.

in India grease palms of babus and overrule regulatory authorities. for operators TRAI HAS DONE more harm then good. Thats the reason why tele comminication is cheapet in world in India and which operator will like that? Also TRAI is forcing them to go to remote places to expand networks, which is not so profit making.
