  1. This also could be useful for mac http://www.pocketmac.net/
  2. You can try following Settings -> Connections _> Bluetooth -> Bluetooth manager -> new -> if it does not shows services then you have to tweak registry, else choose active sync via bluetooth and try. Above is based on VX 6600, may be different in 6700. Also can go directly from desktop. But since I am not aware about 6700 interface, I chosen standard way to do it.
  3. End Of Free Wap Era!

I am saved, I still pay 0.50 paise per minute to browse on my VX 6600 PDA. :'(

  6. crazy reasons of GSM + CDMA dual handset. If CDMA or GSM user want to use services they can always invest in handset. Had DOT or TRAI been so concern about investments of users, they could have not allowed NON RUIM handset for CDMA. Anyway, bad news.

  8. 8 Gb Sony Pen Drive For Just Rs 2950=00

Copying data is not enough, can you read it successfully? 'coz in duplicate they tweak MBR and FAT tables in such a way that it shows more memory. Read more at http://www.s1mp3.org/en/ Ofcourse it does not pertain to only flash drives, but it is possible with flash drives
  9. @mmjain Here is what you wanted http://rapidshare.com/files/5549758/ppc.zip.html
  10. THough 6600 do not support groups SMS, I found out the way to send group SMS (Not my invention in anyways) Using mortscripts groups SMS is possible. Same must be the case with 6700.
  11. May be its cheaper for other countries. I never paid attention to that part.
  12. Means it has to have support from receiving server too. Client may be installed but if server do not support it can not be sent. Correct me if I am wrong. Just to know because I am gonna get one 6700 from US. THen will work on it to use
  13. Do you really think after free minutes its cheaper? As in case of US, prices are $ 0.099, almost Rs. 4.6 per minute, reliance calling cards do offer almost same rates.
  14. Which software you want? TCPMP is free for download. you think sprite back up will be useful for windows 2005 mobiles? I have following software 1. Convertor calculator Supports many types of conversion. 2. Sprite back up 3. Air scanner anti virus 4. Opera browser (Good browser but need to buy) 5. Resco explorer (File xplorer has functionalities equal to desktop explorer) 6. PHM registry editor (Useful for registry tweaks) 7. VITO VOice dialer (Instead of using stupid microsoft voice commands, this is just like mobile dialer, where it recognize your voice as recorded) 8. extended rom unlocker, allows you to add programs in extended rom, so that your favorite programmes gets installed automatically after hard reset. Not very useful if using sprite back up, there are possibility of damaging and deleting required softwares too. 9. Pocket mechanic, it allows you to over clock your PDA, registry cleaning like system mechanic. 10. Pocket CAD (Autocad like) 11. Netfront browser trial version 12. Yahoo messanger 13. Acrobat reader 14. Flex mail 15. SK tools (Trial version) 16. Mort script (To define and send group SMS, which is not natively supported by any WM PPC) 17. Pocket RAR 18. X CPU Scallar, it is CPU overclocking and under clocking utility. Increases battery life to greater extent by reducing clock frequency when CPU is not in use. 19.
  15. Is 6700 push mail client available for download?
  16. I dont think backberries has any advantage except push mail. Also blackberries do not support your existing POP / SMTP / IMAP4 accounts unless they have push mail support. One of my frnd is using it on airtel and I thinks its sheer waste unless one belongs to a corporate which provides pushmail. Ofcourse preferences are different. But I will never invest or buy any black berry.
  17. Thanks Internet explorer is good to use. you can launch internet explorer easily with a button on the side. Browsing is fast. When you slide the keyboard the display automatically adjusts to landscape. you can also change the orientation of display using the shortcut at the right bottom of the screen. Battery life also can be easily checked using a shortcut at the right bottom. Activesync works perfectly and i have loaded all my contacts and other things from my 6265 to the laptop and from there to the PDA without any hassels. I have got softwares for the 02 XDA ii s and will be installing them on this PDA sometime today evening and will let know after that. Windows media player is working fine. But I feel it does not spport some formats. I have already put a screen guard. The 02 screen guard perfectly fits this PDA and i paid Rs. 20/- for that in hubli. The pouch that has come as a package is good, but i don't use it as i prefer holding in my hand or place it on my table. Not much ring tones available but i beleive can be loaded via activesync or memory card. not yet tried. email sending and receiving is good. I could not locate the permanent save feature as found on the o2 xda iis. connecting to the net using wireless modem was easy for the laptop. the speed matches that of the data card No printing software is provided. but i beleive we can install one provided by HP as we have a mini USB port on the PDA. will have to check what all printers are supported. Inserting and ejecting memory card is easy. i tried a 2GB card and it is working fine. I beleive we should not have any hassels using a 4GB card. Bluetooth and infrared are working fine. I transferred file from laptop using infrared. nokia bluetooth headset also worked fine. I would definately recommend it for people who are on the move. Price is comfortable as all the other PDA's (GSM) also fall in the same price range. Will give more info as i use it For playing various media, try using TCPMP, its open source free ware. And really good, supports many formats http://tcpmp.corecodec.org I thnik on windows 2005 you do not require permanent save. Still if needed try using Sprite Back up, which backs up every thing. I am using it on my 6600 and it is scheduled to back up everything at 900 PM, so in case of crash or hard reset, everything including installed programes are restored. It back up program files, system files, registry, messages, call history and contacts as well as all data bases. If you want any of these programs, let me know, Also you can put few programs in extended rom, so that necessary programes are always installed when you do hard reset.

Hetal Patel. Keep up this spirit. I never thought that I too am using so many free services. Realized after reading your reply.
  19. One request or suggestion to hetal, please dont keep on distributing this for free to all. had it been me, I will add some protection and then give key or registration for free. I will also suggest you to get it copy righted. Such wonderful effort must get its due. Because I have seen only working solution so far and there are many experts too (now so called) are struggling to get this solution.
  20. All About Nokia 6265

Thanks for complements, I am no way software guy. Not trying to make any software but trying to get hardware which can send SMS using software. My specs also includes RUIM support and as needed by most members cheaper but best is free. Also its not just nokia and reliance its qualcomm too. CDMA has very typical SMS mechanism, which is not known to even experts. AT commands are wrapped in most handsets. As usual, my belief, CDMA is closely held technology. Very good but absolutely user unfreidly
  21. Hetal, its will be a great effort and I think will be very helpful to many members. I think you can include Nokia 6155 in your list too as it supports AT COMMNAD Reliance uses pagging channel to send SMS
  22. Preprogrammed, there are possible ways to reprogram
  23. Best Handset For Msn Messenger, Email

Frankly speaking after my wap disaster on 6155 (though I use VX 6600 right now and has no issue) I am really bugged with CDMA carriers. I am still stuck to reliance because of my heavy e mail usage and cheaper call rates while roaming. If one is not roaming too much and e mails are just plain text, then I believe GSM is the best because GPRS speed is good for such applications. Also you are not at mercy of operators becoz of handset. Pitty is even low cost handset like motorola SLIM has built in e mail client, which can be easily configured to any POP / SMTP server, which is still a dream in CDMA even high end phones like 6265 Thanks kshah, I have no idea about phone models really, but will look up nokia 2865 and see what it says. And you are right; emailing on reliance is proving to be rather expensive. If one logs in thrice a day that comes to Rs12/- i.e Rs 360/- a month!! That thing about their arbitrarily stopping services is right, as I have learnt to my sorrow. And with a CDMA phone one is stuck with the service provider whereas with a GSM one has the option to look elsewhere. More minus points to Reliance for that. Are there any msn messenger connectivity options on symbian phones? Could you, or someone, suggest such a GSM Symbian OS phone model keeping in mind my requirements? And cost, GPRS cost little as compare to RWORLD. BSNL offers unlimited GPRS for 199, which my brother is using very happily on his nokia 6600.
  24. Best Handset For Msn Messenger, Email

If Nokia 2865 supports WAP than I think you should think of it as it may serve your requirement of both e mailing using flurry mail or such clients and messanger services too. However I will always say that becareful with CDMA operators as everything is in their control and they can always leave you clueless when they stop services. For reliable availability of services choose GSM. BTW I dont know pricing, but if you spend too much on e mail charges (I mean reliance is charging) then you can try BSNL, they offer unlimited GPRS for Rs. 199 and then going for symbian base phone, cheapest I think is 6600 can be great option. Because you do not require good browsing speed.
