Dedicated dash cam in range of 5-7 k had very poor picture quality. I have purchased 3 different models and reached to this conclusions. There are cams costing more than 250 with Sony sensor gives good results.

I checked with CarOo, I do not know any thing about programming so could not do much. Though it seems to be good software. I would like to do this way Dedicate entry level android phone with car mount as dedicated recording device. Starts recording as soon as charger is detedted (Ignition ON) Stops recording as soon as charges is disconnected( Ignition OFF)

Yes, I forgot that point. With MK3, I could not find ways to connect it to DIAG so far. Even in hiddenmenu.apk, I could not find the ways to get it in to diag. I have not tried flashing 4.2 with higher version of SECUREDBOOT though.

Samsung has incorporated two major changes in 4.3 ROM, they are KNOX and SELINUX security. We are not concerned much with KNOX as no warranty problems for us. SE Linux could be real headache as it do not let SU run properly. Download SELINUX mode changer from market to change policy. One or two handsets may be available as lost handset. Majority of seller who sells new handsets bring paying all taxes. Only tax they do do not pay is vat. I never know about gmate+, is it worth trying? I am fed up of carrying two phones and no good dual SIM phone in CDMA. My personal number is CDMA and business is GSM. I use data on CDMA only so GSM without data would do. I am trying to find solution for IMEI issue mentioned by Guru Gopalji.
