Initially yes tata were very poor in customer service, now a days it does not appear to be so. I am not right person to comment as I have only 2 connection - 1 prepaid mobile and 1 broad band. In broadband, they attend any complaints within 24 hours. Mobile I have never made complaint as its least used my mom's connection.

Bsnl tarriff proves that hope of many are shattered for unlimited data on evdo for 1500 bucks, when bsnl charge 3000 other will charge same or more

I too am using tata broad band since year and half and its pretty stable.

Airtel being gsm speed is certainly lower than cdma. But its cheaper by 50% so if your usage is for mobile device only, its worth. I am using airtel and has good experience about billing. I don't know credit system though. But in 3 months they increased my credit limit to 4300.

reliability is very relative term. Company beyond certain size can not work beyond frame work of applicable laws, they do find out loop holes and do exploit. but that doesn't mean they are not reliable. All companies change post paid tarriff. We as consumer get offended because we may have to loose something. At the same time are consumer remain loyal to companies? If no than how come they remain loyal to consumer? Stocks too are speculative and they charge premiums as per rules. Its upto investors to investigate and invest. Reliance is very important company for indian economy to keep indian companies alive against multinationals.

even bsnl was inconsistent. Wireless can not be as consistent and as fast as DSL / ADSL as said by experts.

EVDO a\authentication is no only ESN + MIN. in EVDO there are two authentication one for data and one for voice So far there are very few people (maybe) successful in cloning EVDO data. I tried with BSNL too but was not successful. When I started BSNL, I had that confidence that BSNL must have very poor implementation, but I was wrong and I failed miserably. I dont think non reliance handsets will be able to use EVDO services.

Since you are getting this problem even after changing RAM, there are two area need to be addressed first HDD - might have bad sectors hence your virtual memory is getting corrupted. doing fdisk, create new partitions, check drive thoroughly and reinstallation may solve. Second cache memory on mother board. If this is the problem, then changing MB is the only solution. Try what sadik said too. Using failsafe setting may work.

I don't think first 2 years any one will offer cheaper 3G services. Otherwise too how many companies today are interested in affordable data? They all are interested in vas content like ring tone, wallpaper, movie clips etc.

I used iphone for 12 days but on screen key board is not as convinient as hardware key board. Iphone work well even with google.

yeah, but wireless connection do not give speed as good as wired one. 1500 unlimited and even 512 kbps average would be great. But I suspect it to be expensive. Lets hope for the best.

Get GSM connection, where data is cheaper. Reliance is damn expensive for data.

but dont think reliance will offer it cheap. They charge Rs 1500 for 1X, unlimited. They will surely charge same if not more

Reliance recharge is erratic, it get credited in few minutes some times, some time it do not get credited and money get refunded after 4 days.

Yes iphone offers real time mail for both google and yahoo. But its not very convinient to use sort of phone. I used I phone for few days - I missed key board on it and I missed application customization too.

I don't understand why gsm guys creating so much of noise. Cdma is better for data and best part is evdo is possible in all frequency.it was cdma guys who were stupid not to introduce it on first hand.

Tata is no where closer to bsnl in terms of coverage, small players are ought to provide cheaper rates. We must not forget that bsnl is gsm and tata is cdma. Once you subscribe to tata means you are locked.

After lots of experiments and web hosts, I selected yahoo as my host in sept 2008 and I am happy with them. I tried 3 host in india and 1 in us they were directihost, then some one in kolkata, then one in ahmedabad and one in us. I am talking about total 6 years. Yahoo india gives 5 gb for 2000 only. Plus unlimited mail id. My config is yahoo as host and google as mail host. Google as mail host are better than yahoo.

Customer care of Airtel is surely differentiator. They do deserve premium. Reliance CC is absolutely no where near to Airtel. Airtel is so prompt, that most complaints are resolved in less than 48 hours. I have tried thrice.

What ever BSNL does is for poorer only, they have to say so, its their MAJBOORI . In our country no one bothers for them in real sense but certainly all government policies are targeted at POOR POLITICIANS AND BABUS , they are poorest people in India. So whats wrong if they save thousands by spending just Rs. 375, learn how to appreciate.

Frankly, I have stopped reading an thing about 3G in India. Operators and Government, every one wants to delay. Operators do not seems to be confident of getting enough revenue from 3G and government wants huge chunk of flesh from revenue and I think babus also might be wanting great amount of money too under the table.

@ 50 paise per minute its 250 per month means pay back is about year and a half. Don't you think this commitment for user is too optimistic? Considering ever falling terriff its too hight.
