Try flashing your phone with rom which support gps. Its really sad on cdma part that they lock even network independent features. I started hating cdma due to this reason only.

Entry level handsets of samsung are better than nokia, I always feel so.
-
For cheap useful softwares its better to buy. Cracks are around but none works.

Reliance has worst customer care. my experience for airtel is the best. My 2 complaints, out of which one was for refund of 1100 bucks, both were resolved in max 3 days. I have recently sent 6 mails to reliance for false recharge of my pre paid connection, but non replied. I am not very much bothered as my reliance usage is negligible and i lodged complaint against them with various consumer agencies too.

your international roaming issue could be due to following First of all you might have used ruim data for activation of mogul. If so you will not be able to use it on ir is *228 is not possible due to spc problem. solution is catch hold of old nv based handset, transfer your existing number on that handset, then use esn and spc of NV based handet on your mogul. Now you will be able to do *228 to download prl. Unless u download prl u will not be able to ir.

Hello All rimwebians who are aware about their rights should start lodging their complaints here at http://www.corecentre.co.in I think there are many members on this forum who has one or the other complaints for various companies including reliance. Hence they must perform their duties to get rights. Hope it helps

No reliable solution is available as it authenticate online. I bought full licence and its worth spending on profimail. I believe. Also SEVEN, EMOZE and NOKIA MESSAGING are still not as reliable and at times causes problem with native messaging (SMS) applications. Profimail is working absolutely flawless and its as reliable as BB, except that it works only with limited mail servers, which supports IMAP IDLE

Universal Cellphone Charger Will Ring The Changes, Say Makers
kshah replied to ravi_patent's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Atleast they got some thing positive in their brain but still they are asking for very long time. And wireless charging too need to be standardized. -
CA 101 is nokia number. Otherwise its micro USB only.
-
Use micro usb cable suitable for nokia. It will work I am using my e71 cable on my lg 3500. Pc sync require dll file for specific model. If its not there it will not work. U can try editing dll file in hex editor. don't ask me much about it but without much of knowledge I did it in past. Another option is to try bitpim

International Calls At 50ps/min?
kshah replied to vvinayakpai's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
No we should not be cynical for every thing. If government (which ever) do not do every thing wrong. They do many right things. Termination charges will drop and we must appreciate DOT / TRAI and GOI for sucessful implementation of CPP regime, which is not as successful as India at many very well developed places. -
International Calls At 50ps/min?
kshah replied to vvinayakpai's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Morgan stanely or such reports and research are all hoax. They are not authority. They just work for some or other wasted interest always. I heard about this 6 months back from very top official of Airtel, he mentioned me on flight that "government wants local calls at 20 paise, STD at 50 paise and ISD less than 1 rupee. Its operators who are objecting." -
Symbian can sync with multiple profiles. I dont recollect if itwas therein WM.
-
Its unbelievable that syncing can be so easy and simple. On my nokia though google supports only contacts at this moment, it tooks less than 20 seconds on wifi to sync all contacts (About 600 with multiple details) and all contacts on my phone are SAFE TOO. Why it would get deleted in WM handsets? There must be some settings to prevent deletion???

Some how at tme RIMweb members are getting offended or too insisting for no reason what so ever. Main essence of discussion board lies in knowing different view point and use them for own benefit. Prepaid or post paid is individual choice but at the same time my they are strictly personal. However there my be larger group following one view point than other, but that does not mean that either of them is the ONLY TRUTH.
-
Though I am more comfortable with post paid due to my own limitations I certainly believe that upto mid range users (upto Rs. 750 usage) pre paid is cheaper and best option. One may save upto 30% on mobile expenditures.

Seems reliance is yet not out of CDMA syndrome, where they control every thing.

Has any one else tried IMAP IDLE? If not please try. Its worth trying. Dont spend on BB unless you really need highly secured, enterprise grade solution, where server in no case supports IMAP IDLE or you can not afford to change email ID. If any one has their own domain, than even switching to google as your mail host will save thousands of rupees. They give 7 GB X 100 mail accounts free. Mails sent are without advertisements. I dot like this nature of RIM WEB where people do not post their experience after trying out new things.
-
But till about one month back BSNL EVDO was very poor. Speed was hardly any. Also now a days Reliance net connect is becoming slower. But certainly its better than any other wireless connections However downloading 20 GB on Rconnect is impossible as per my belief.

Is it possible to disable outgoing and incoming calls in handset?
kshah replied to biplob.shee's topic in Technical / OS related
I could not understand preventing incoming and out going calls means? What about switching off phone? -
whats so great in BB?
-
Depending on mail services you use, if using google then instead of bb go for any handset which support imap idle. There is discussion on this going on. Please search.
-
best part of google is it support both pop and imap access simultaneously. Try it sadik, its worth trying.

Seven is good free mail service (Real push mail AFAIK), but none as consistent as IMAP IDLE and most are in beta stage. Once upon a time Airtel was offering SOLUTION provided by SEVEN as EASY MAIL but they have stopped it. I dont know reason. At times mails are received in few minutes (Max 2) at times it takes hours or do not get at all - in push (When accessed using POP / IMAP its there in mail box. Again all are paid services or depends on proprietary clients. SOmehow I have a feeling that WM Pocket Outlook might be supporting IMAP IDLE thru registry tweaks. I will suggest you to try PROFIMAIL trial for 15 days and see performance, then if need be, its worth investing in. I am having licenced version and am very happy on my E71. Another problem in E71 is all mail clients , except PROFIMAIL try to integrate with built in MESSAGING client and application and it affects over all performance of messaging. Phone hangs, crashes, SMS sending fails etc. So for me PROFIMAIL is the only viable solution. But again, I am very happy with IMAP IDLE than real push mail. AS its cheap, it uses any available connection and its almost real time (Max 10 seconds time lag I have seen)
