Nokia email service is inconsistent, it may be working good on yahoo but google it does not. my point is that if one wants near real time two way mail than imap idle is best and free solution. it superb on google and google aps account. Yahoo do not support imap idle. @ abhishek If you say you want your people to get notifications of mails by sms on simple phones, do all simple phones support mail? There may be java based mail clients too. Supporting imap idle.

Download and see, in symbian client they have option of imap idle connect. There may be other clients too. On nokia they provided it on one version of rom, for e71 - unfortunately it does not seems to be there in latest rom. Ofcourse I never used built in client as I never liked it. I will do more research for you once I get time. These days I am bit busy and do not attend office due to sickness in my family. If u want to see demo of how fast I get reply my mail I sent you on your gmail ID.

But SMS are SMS, not E mail. You doesnt seems to be sure of what you want. You just want notification or you want live email communication? SMS notifications are pain - orcourse its better than nothing. You can open hotmail account and forward all your mails to hotmail account to get SMS notifications. @dhiraj Try IMAP IDLE (I have become fan of it - its better and way cheaper than real push mail) and you do not disclose your login details to any one too. Thats added advantage.

Yes, I too use nokia e71 and its good device. However I do not like built in mail client and using profimail. No side track, for push mail, one cheapest and best option is to have server support idle imap commands and connection. Google / Gmail support, yahoo don't. Once you connect to server and your mail client is on idle imap, as soon as mail is received on server, maximum in few seconds your mail box get notifications. Believe me, its better than nokia push mail, seven and emoze.

Pull mail means, mail client check mails at certain interval, right? Nokia push mail is certainly not as consistent as it should be. BB is the best. But its very expensive and at times do not justifies its cost.

You can use BB services even on wm phones. Seven.com offers beta services which works well on many phones. In gsm right now nokia too is offering free push mail trial on many phone models.

But why ebay can not give you reason? Have you violated any terms of usage? E bay usually deals fairly as far as my experience is. Atom is offshoot of US $ 100 laptop development. And its really good processor. Now a days processor speed do not matters much for regular usage as very few apps uses true power of modern processors. I have compared my Athlon 64 bit (Single core - 3 years old) 1.6 GHZ with modern Core 2 Duo 1.6 GHZ and both runs almost at same speed unless you rander movie or use software where huge data processing is required like 3 D rendering, movie making etc. Photoshop, Autocad, office apps and most other apps runs more or less at same speed on single core / dula core / atom based / via processors.

No phones OS except Symbian S 60 and palm can record call conversation. Its said that WM phones made by ASUS can do it. BB is not a very good OS, except for push mails. I dont see any convincing reason to go for BB if you are not keen to use push mail services. However your requirement is basic and if you are looking for good quality handset, which can do lot more than your normal phone then certainly, BB at 9.5K is best bet. Another option would be Palm Treo 755 P too but BB has better browser.

I think its time to dump RELIANCE I thought they might be wanting people to move to gsm from cdma hence keeping data expensive. Airtel is offering 50mb for 99. Bucks. Means 2.5 times, what special reliance is offering that user pay 2.5 times?

In unlocked gsm they mainly test for sim based services (java) and in locked handset be it cdma or gsm, test for net work parameter compatibility like dormant time, wake up time its. Palm treo 755p.m. Has dormancy problem not because of palm but because network guys always want phone to go to dormancy to release resources and handset guys wants to disconnect or phone to go in dormancy in such a way that it preserve battery as well as increase users handset experience and there is always conflicts between these two. This is true for cdma. In gsm most parameters are in sim hence network can change it very easily over the air or while they get complaint from customer.

In gsm according to rules and applicable standard they have to give unworkable handsets by code. however this rule is applicable only in europe. Cdma being us technology, they allow locking handset under the name of security.

Though it is said that I am using one of the best handset available in market (nokia e 71) I wonder that people who says nokia e 71 as one of the best handset might not have used handset with palm os. I will dump my e 71 at once if palm nova is just palm os+ multitasking and new era browser.

I got my Evdo disconnected only on 29 dec. It was not at all satisfactory. I will say pathetic speed. You are lucky it average speed is even 100kbps

Do they restrict selling of discount vouchers? They may have some restrictions why they have blocked your account. Check all your vouchers have reached to your customers and have all POD (Proof of delivery), scan it and sent it to paisa pay. Also request your customer (Atleast few who may help) you to contact ebay / paisapy and say that they have received all as promised.

Its good if they restrict monopolistic technology like cdma but at the same time why government can not open 450 hz and 1900 mhz band? Evdo works best in 450 mhz. And equally good in 1900 mhz I think every one interested in death of cdma.

Mnp will come only after complete reliance gsm roll out or it may happen that Mnp follows reliance gsm foot print.

Please help me guys. My friend wants to obtain BB services on Imate Kjam right now and later on HTC TOUCH PRO. He is using AIrtel connetion. Airtel guys say, they do not support either of these models hence they can not help for set up. AS suggested by hetal he has downloaded BB connect software. I am asking this, because I have not seen BB connect software and when he ask me, I should be able to guide him. Thanks in advance to you all.

I came across www.fishtext.com they offer application which sends SMS using net. I check prices and are as under (1 Euro = about Rs. 68) From India to USA : 0.020 Euro (Rs. 1.4) Bahrain : 0.015 eurro (Rs. 1.05) India : 0.015 euro (Rs. 1.05) I am able to send SMS from my E71 easily. However application seems to have some bug, which hangs my system occasionally.
