UPDATE Today morning I got SMS that I have to make payment as my total out standing is above my credit limit of Rs. 1600. So I sent them mail stating that you can disconncet my phone if they wish - but then I will not pay single peny unless I am instructed to do so by consumer court. Then I got following mail, means they have resolved my complaint.

Indeed, its not chinese who are cuprits, its Indian importers, who are culprits of every thing. I have seen myself, Indian buyers teaching Chinese how to do CHORI in what ever they sell. There are Youlong, ZTE, Huwei and atleast 4-5 other manufacturers who makes good quality, genuine handsets.

Opera mini uses its own proxies and may be some how its going past reliance gateway. Full browsing means ie or other browser. It could be temporary problem.

Why do you use pda net? Its tetherring soft. In us when u r on unlimited data plan they do not allow your phone 2 b used as modem. Pda net is turn around for that. U can use usb modem software which can connect 755 as modem on both bt as well as usb.

But at the same time I must appreciate airtel for its speed in addressing complaints. This is my 1st complaint and 3rd querry, but they try to solve problems fast. Total 2 calls today and just now got e mail ensuring that by 3rd Oct it will be addressed and resolved.

Infact, I had no billing problem with reliance. I total have 20 connection, of which 4 connections are since 6 months after the inception of reliance and 16 since last about 2.5 years. I have not faced more than 2 billing issues, that too small issues. None double charging sort of problem.

I had taken a backup of the original NV file. I picked the same again. Very careful searched for the original ESN, found it at two places only. Then, I carefully replaced the same with new ESN (and yes I entered the ESN in reverse in pairs of two, like Sadikk indicated). Restored it. I still have the same problem. Also, as I indicated earlier, now when I restore the original NV file also, I still face the same problem. It could be that the ESN had already been messed with before I bought the phone. What is the solution now? A. Can another phone's NV file be used? (I do have another 700P which is working fine) B. Can I flash the phone with Treo 755p image. Acrtually, if your NV is bad, in palm phone do not come up. Palm OS runs well. Thats the feature of OS. I have seen atleast 3 treos which comes up properly. Phone do not work due to NV issues. There is possibility of your ROM being corrupted of damaged memory due to one or the other reason. If hard reset do not work, try updating your ROM by SD card method, by putting ROM image on memory card and starting rebooting phone. For that you have to put ROM folder in root of card and then put ZIP + MD5 files in that folder.

Add some more and go for treo 755p fortunately now available tp rimweb. It will last longer. Full multimedia,browser, email office apps, loads of games.

In most cases radio recycle is enought. Soft reset is not required.

Infact, first of all government should ban life time prepaid, it keeps on increasing user base. Also government should impose some sort of levi on number of users too, so that all operators reduces number of disconnected subscribers. And, 3G must be rolled out, sell spectrum at hefty price, later government can always reduce license fees. Why they want foreign players in India? To monopolize air space?

Yes if you get is flashed with approapriate flash. It requires special hardware so you have to go to professionals. Once flashed, RWORLD will never work.

Ok, go to phone screen Dial ##data#, you will be taken to programming menu. Use option key to select various pages. Use your SPC (Lock code) mostly it will be 000000

dial ##data# select clear all proxies settings here, under browser tab. This is problem of main configureation. Why u want to use proxies? Pl dont use proxies.

U can use even screen shot software. BTW where is error? It shows signing on, means u are authenticated. Remove all proxies. if u are using "UTS@" as username, then why dont u browse without proxy server? If you are using your MDN as user name and password, u dont require proxy.

Reliance and tata are cheaper than gsm players. Who cares for cdma gsm war and game. Palm has lesser development since many years, hence certain type of apps are not available. Also ems and sms are absolutely in control of operators in cdma

vll always mention exact problem so that one can help. There is no reason why palm can not connect to net except config error. U can post your screen shots if can not explain as it happens when its first time.
