  1. I am using airtel since last about a month and a half (few days more). Over all netowrk quality within city of Ahmedabad is poorer than reliance (about 90-95%). Call drops are certainly more than RIM. Network congetion during peak hours is also higher. Tariff wise, I think they are little expensive than reliance. But at the same time I may save on handset cost Data speed on EDGE is about 50-70% of CDMA 1X. But I am happy with it because of following reason. 1. Airtel offers AON for Rs. 99 PM, where you can browse for free. As per CC, you can browse 3 MB per session free later you are charged, means if you disconnect before 3 MB and reconnect then you are not charged. 2. If you search from airtel home page, then you are charged. 3. You cab remain online (On messanger 24X 7, for just Rs. 99 PM) 4. For mails, one can choose Mobile OFfice plan of Rs. 99 PM ( 25 MB free), use SMTP / POP to save data transfer. Means you can enjoy web for whole month in just Rs. 200 I am trying to find some tweaks and exploits for their web networks, will post if succeed
  2. in nokia e71 when in edge it shows E on two connection arrow Nokia gives free access to maps. So far I have not travelled outside ahmedabad but will sure try to find out answer

  14. Please read page 6 and 7 of user guide provided in JVM package. It list which files to install and purpose of it. Follow procedures like this 1. Uninstall all JAVA and Opera 2. 15. Planning To Buy New Htc P3000

Beaware about quality of HTC handsets sold in India. There many people who wants to sell it for cheaper after 2-3 months because of battery, ringer and other hardware issues. About its worth, you have to define your requirements.
  16. hard resets remove every thing from ROM only. Not NV. All reliance related settings will remain there as it is. Palm has two sets of files (Rather known as prefs, saved prefs and unsaved prefs). Saved prefs are your apps settings, user settings and unsaved prefs are device and apps specific settings which are generally device specific, like registration details. Palm hot sync saves saved prefs but not unsaved prefs. But when you use NVbackup or resco back up, they save each and every file, so when you restore, your device is as it is. If you do hard reset and hotsync, it restores every thing except unsaved prefs. Means you have every thing back, almost except your software registration details. In some cases, it is better to install using hotsync. Not all applications work properly installing from card or clicking PRC files.
