K1M do not have call recorder, it has voice recorder. LG had 6230 model and said to be working well but now not available. Also in all phones there is no automatic recording. Therefore I bought treo 700P and using with callrec, unlimited, good quality incoming / outgoing calll recording. Supports 4GB card means you may record huge amount of calls. Treo 755P too supports as 700P and 755 P are same. I am more than happy with 700P for call recording.

AS per EVDO forum of BSNL, it gives really good speed. Means now ahmedabad is on horizon.

Its good handset for 10k, if available, http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communication...MotokrzrK1M.jsp If you are comfortable with little larger size and if you want to use email, browsing and unlimited storage, go for PPC / smart phones. Even you can consider palm treo 755P (which is available on ebay for about 175 $ or sadik is said to be selling for 9999)

BSNL / MTNL are meeting social obligations of providing telecomunication in remote areas where no private operators are interested. EVDO is introduced to increase penetration of internet. Discrimination is must, I believe in interest of wide society like India. We being in urban areas, not at all aware about rural areas. I believe private operators (CDMA especially) do not want to pursue matter with government to allow 3G services in 800 Mhz. CDMA EVDO works best in 450 and 800 Mhz than 1900 Mhz. They want to do frequency SQUATTING.

I have a very old mobile which doesnt support data. (SCH N65 or so) Thats why i thought of going for a usb device. Infact all old mobile support data. Do you mean N565 - samsung color flap one?

Centro has smaller but very high resolution 320X 320 screen. Its good looking but small.

Ditto, Palm would be the best, if you do not want PPC and if you are looking at operation convenience closer to phone. Nokia I will never suggest due to absolutely pathetic services.

I too use snapper and its simply superb. You can check if snapper is available for WM too.

I am sure Indian company will not get 3G spectrum, multinationals are greasing babus and politicians in their favour. I wish Anil, join hands with Mukesh and fight with government. To me it seems to be multinationals game.

if you ask me, palm is probably the best OS for smart phones. Centro is very compact. 755 and 700 are same as centro except for the size.

Samsung hero I have tried with Serial cable and USB cable but PC sysnc is not possible. Go to ASC and ask question they too do not know. I will suggest not to waste time and money on cable.

755 is best. If u ask me, I will refer it over CENTRO due to battery, screen size and keyboard.

try getting PRI file of TATA from other user and write to your phone using diego and see. This will help you to log on to tata zone Changing PRL and SID / NID will enable you to log on to TATA

I have one centro right now in my hand but I am unable to make it on reliance. Tata its possible. I have almost bricked handset in process See specs comparison in attached image. It is apparent that apart from size and weight there is no much advantage of having CENTRO over 755P. I am omitting 700P as it has antena and many people may not prefer it. I think 755 has following advantages 1. Bigger and more convenient key board. 2. Bigger screen. 3. Bigger battery and better talk time. Centro is lighter and smaller. But at the same time screen is smaller (Resolution is same for both) and key board is not as convenient. I prefer 755P over centro.

Nice review. Nokia in CDMA is worst. They had only Nokia 3125 in CDMA which was robust and performed to the name of Nokia. All other have been worst phone and even pathetic service. I will never touch nokia in CDMA.

I dont know about lg 9800 but I am sure reliance MMS uses QNC authentication for MMS. I have tried a lot even changing QNC to PPP in my Nokia 6155 but no success.

End of the day fact remain is what ever we say, Indian companies (service sector) be it telecom, hotel, call centres. Are the best amongst the world. Indians do not speak as politely as american / british counter parts. But out people do provide services better then them. When ever I have visited outside India, I have always felt that Indians offer more humane, more fair services to their client than their counter part. Go to verizon / sprint forums and read their agonies, they are far more than ours. False billings in US are as rampant as India. But they win, because when we go (e.g. I asked my frnd to get me treo 700 wired head set, which was not available in Ahmedabad) he went to verizon store and asked for headset, which was costing USD 1.99 there was given free because he is old customer of verizon. Which no Indian company will give. Coz person is not authorized.

If you do not want to use wap site, do not use gateway. It will be faster.

I think WM6 has two edition standard and professional. Standard is equivellent to smart phone edition of WM5 and Professional is PPC edition. In WM5, smartphone edition, editing was not available. Dont know about WM6 I think, Mogul is WM5 PPC edition / WM6 Professional.
