In ideal conditions CDMA should give better battery life because of slot cycle, iwhich is usually - 2 / 2.56 seconds (Means phone wakes up every 2.56 secods and check messages / call) But as network congetion increases, battery life decreases as then phone starts emitting at higher wattages. therefore CDMA has fewer call drops than GSM and better voice quality. I remember initial days of reliance when it was launched, I was getting excellent battery life from Sam-191.

WAP will not work unless you try with PST. In manual it is mentioned that you can set up HTTP connection, whats that?

Palm treo is surely better than motoQ and also same price. Belive me. I have been using PDAs since many years and palm I found the best. Fast, stable, highly functional and superb battery life. MOTOQ is smart phone edition not PPC.

I read about EVDO settings on some forum, check and try tweaking your modem, u may get EVDO speed.

One of my freind is looking for E mail address data bases. In past I got mails from people selling such lists. But since quite some time I have not received because of spam filters. ( I delete spam mails without looking at it) Is any one aware about availability of such mail lists? He is willing to pay for it too. UMPC and small laptops are different catagories. UMPCS are really ultra mobile PCs ideally less than 750 grams.

This applicable for handsets which can be identified as standard modem not all handsets will work. New handsets may not work.

EVDO that way is wonderful technology it runs on 450 Mhz, 800 Mhz and 1900 Mhz as efficiently. Also for data there is no comparision between W-CDMA and EVDO. EVDO do performs, where as W-CDMA do performs but at much lower rates.

If u are Indian buyer, all ESN are bad for you coz no ESN will be activated. BAD ESN are secific to service providers, they blacklist ESN becozsome one has violated terms of contract / reported lost handset / permanently damaged handset etc. Legally you are not suppose to buy stolen stuff. If you have communicated with seller that you do not want to buy stolen stuff a nd if he has clarified that it is not stolen than you are free from your liabilities.
