  1. Personal Mobile Jammer Required

there is nothing illegal if you jam your privately owned premises and if it does not interfere with any one else premises or public air. There must not be spill over of jamming from your own private boundaries. Else one can sue you easily.
  2. Locked Uim ?

It could be because of wrong pin entries. In GSM with PUK2 code one can unblock SIM. I dont know about RUIM in CDMA. U can ask some expert.
  3. Xv6800 With Ruim

^^^ @kshah Ya we do know my dear friend. Hats off to you. You deserve the honour on the very first. Regards. My purpose to post that I converted first was not to get credit but prevent people from mis guiding. If some one did it, its great but no point in saying that I did it. Coz we might not be knowing. Anyway, if some one can give me handset 6800 for trial, I cantry to convert. If it is done it must be easy. Because now new chipsets has native support for RUIM hance it should be just a software change. Unlike 6600 where one needed hardware modifications too (Jumpers)
  4. Xv6800 With Ruim

FYI, 6700 was first converted to RUIM by me. Long before it was posted any where.
  5. Price Change Lg 9800

    its not even worth 10k.
  6. Looking For Good Notebook

Depends on config and usage pattern. I have seen very few laptops giving 2 hours battery life with wifi on, no optical drive usage. Screen ON.
  7. ^^^ Yes we do missing the latest technologies my dear Kumaar. ^^^ Correctly said my dear friend. It seems that still we are on obsolete technologies in the name of 3G. Only God knows when we get the latest stuff. Regards. I think we are not given bsolete technology. GSM is still about 70% EDGE in europe. Same with CDMA. 3G is not more than 30% glabally.
  8. no one can be sure when Indian and chinese marries. We both know how to spoil products. Especially when India is buyer. I have seen this my self. That INdian buyers teaches chinese how to spoil quality to reduce prices. U will be surprised to know that what US guys buys for US $ 40 and Gulf buyer for 30 (Same stuff) India buyer will teach chinese manufactuer to produce same at US $ 14. Same product is retailed for US $ 100 in US, US $ 80 in dubai and about Rs. 4000 (US $ 90) in India. Indian brand will not last even 1/4th of US brand. I can not name product and brand.
  9. Looking For Good Notebook

my cousine bought acer laptop with Athlon Dual core processor. Without OS (Linux) for about 30k. It was really good laptop with battery life of about 2 hours.
  10. huwei is biggest hardware supplier in the world. They are OE suppliers to even other equipment manufacturers. Reliance CDMA is entirely huwei only.
  11. Reliance Gsm Roll Out?

If compatible then yes. If not, then your RUIM will be rejected saying invalid SIM - sort of - message
  12. Good info. THis clearly shows that CDMA is infact dying due to qualcomm's policies.
  13. Mogul Ruim, Finally.....

Well my knowledge in mobile tech is 0, I am woundering it will not leak the battery? or it will make upgrading to extended battery impossible? We cant get every thing. isnt it?
  14. Reliance Gsm Roll Out?

I thinkm RUIM is compatible with both GSM & CDMA Handsets Reliance RUIM are not GSM compatible. Because of its implementation. Tata RUIM are GSM compatible.
  15. Unlocked Bb8830

instead of CDMA handsets buy GSM handsets. If at all you are interested in using all features of handsets, best is to wait for few months till reliance comes out with latest technology GSM network. For mails, 3G may not be required.
  16. Gps Disabled On Bb 8830 World Edition

While what you said may not be 100% true, one fact remain is CDMA operators worldwide are well known to cripple handsets and its features for no reasons. FOor GSM operators, it is believed that they offer better services at better prices. But the fact remains is I have legal actions pending against AT&T (Now Idea) and also against hutch for fraudelent charges. Like charging roaming calls twice or thrice. Illegal activation of VAS (I am talking about between 5-6 years back, when VAS were emails by SMS, FAX services etc). I belive reliance and Tata advisors or technical team is full of bufoons, who do not know benefit of offering certain services to customers, and keep on barring one or the other feature of the handset. Also CDMA operators, to keep control over all users activities, jumbled up their back end so much that now they have to activate new rule sets for each an every handsets. I belive for such chaos even qualcomm might be at fault.
  17. Want To Open My Reliance Datacard

airetel is gsm and reliance is cdma. so can not use airtel sim in it. Also opening card doesnt meant it will b unlocked.
  18. Mogul Ruim, Finally.....

Thats really great job. I hope RIMWEB keeps on inspiring geniuses like you all.
  19. How To Create A Video Dvd

    try this too http://www.pegasys-inc.com/
  20. I Want A Pda

Best PDAs w/o handsets are probably PALM. Also Indian simputter could be good choice with linux http://www.simputer.org/, it supports LG2030 modem connection too.
  21. every one seems to be cloning iphone now a days.
  22. Also speed depends on area you are into. I have tried GSM data on airtel and hutch, but in cities you get acceptable speed but when you go to rural or remote areas, speed su**s. At time you may not get data services as well. In reliance it is uniform all over. GSM is much cheaper than CDMA and in GSM you get superb handsets.
  23. Tata Peoples Car Makes India Proud

great achievement of tata. hats off to whole team. also read tatapeoplescar.com
  24. he is not taling about ESN / SIM cloning, there are ways to send SMS from web which displays number sender choose to be displayed.
  25. Not all AT commnads are available on CDMA handsets / phones, you have to do your own research for supported AT commands. Even implementation of AT commands is not same across the models. It also differs from operator to operator, manufacturer to manufacturer.
