  1. In Goa upgrade sim is being charged at 100 and no compulsion for FRC recharge

    found this online

    http://en.miui.com/thread-251620-1-1.html

any of the users facing network connectivity issues like this?

We are screwed royally by RCDMA in name of upgrade to 4G. All our lifetime plans have been reset to 2p/sec on doing the 4G FRC recharge.. instantly even till the time old CDMA SIM is active. Did 4G migration today.. Lost my lifetime 50p call rate. What a scam RCDMA doing - totally unethical, pathetic. Would port out as soon as I exhaust my 2000+ prepaid balance. Enough of this. What's the point of being on worst network of RGSM with calling rate of 2p/s.

    Prepaid number or Post paid?

    Which circle?

He already said His 2000+ prepaid balance :)

Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk

What !!! As per http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/4G/4G_overview.html the first step is to do FRC and then send SMS to 1299. Are you sure there was no requirement of FRC :((((

Any one can confirm. (What's the use now.. already did FRC :(( )

Didn't do any FRC for Dehi postpaid cdma.

Just got the sim and registered.

However as a postpaid customer I was asked to clear all pending dues before registering the new sim. They didn't even give me the sim till they saw I had more money in my a/c than my current bill.

  2. Hi! I am in Mumbai and have a cdma postpaid connection. I received my 4G LTE sim today through Bluedart. I have bought the RN3 but yet to receive delivery.

I have a couple of questions if anyone can answer.......

    - Now that I have received the 4G SIM card, should I proceed to register through SMS as per their instruction or should I wait till I have received delivery of my new mobile?

    - If I were to proceed with the registration, will I be able to continue using the CDMA connection on my current mobile, or will the CDMA SIM be deactivated immediately?

    Thank you.

Register your sim from your current CDMA phone. You'll get an instant message from 1299 saying that you request has been registered and they will let you know once the 4g upgrade happens for your number through sms.

Till then you can keep using your current cdma connection. once you receive a message that your 4g sim is now active, your current sim will automatically stop working and you use your new sim on a gsm phone.

Your CDMA connection will not be deactivated immediately since 4g JIO doesn't really seem to be active as yet. I think they're taking in as many registrations as they can before shifting those customers who have registered.

  3. I am rcom CDMA postpaid user Maharashtra and today received SMS from rcom "As our privileged customer,we are happy to inform you that we are sending the new 4G ready SIM to your billing address on ZERO cost.T&C RCOM"

How exactly are they deciding on which customer should be sent a courier and which one should go to a store ??

The way the store people are handing out sims seems more like a part of some reluctant operation, almost felt like they didn't want to hand them out to customers, but they had no choice. I was told to "clear all the pending bills first before the sim can be given".

And others simply get the sim through mail.

    strange.

  4. Today I received Reliance 4G sim by courier.

    I've a postpaid delhi number.

Problem is I use Sprint HTC One M7 which wont support 4G :((

Need to buy a new handset.

    Hi,

How did you receive the sim by courier ? Is there some service where we can register our number with Reliance and they send us the new sim ?

Because I thought, everyone had to go to a Reliance store to get their sims changed ?

Nope did nothing, registered for nothing.

Just received by bluedart, an envelope with Reliance Logo with "4G|LTE" mentioned on it, and "ACCESS YOUR SUPERPOWER" printed on it.

Inside content was a letter along with 4G Sim kit.

    Really ?

This is the first I've heard of this then.

Being sent a sim kit without doing/registering anything/anywhere.....And that too by Bluedart ...!!!!

Lucky you . Coz everyone else seems to be going to a store and getting their sims.

  6. After much hassle, I got two 4G sims today. They didn't even charge me for the SIM. For the prepaid SIM, I had to recharge it with Rs. 93. Which gave R-R free STD/Local and 150 minutes to others, 1Gb of internet.

After sending the 4g SIM NO message to 1299, received a reply that will be updated.

Hi Rajeev, which place/store in New Delhi did you visit to get the sims ?

I contacted a couple of stores near my location, they asked me to contact them after 1st May.

Also, is your plan on your current postpaid mobile ( WITH 4G sim ), still the same as when you were on your previous cdma sim or has the plan changed ?
