  2. Wall Street Journal has reported that Apple is changing the way it sells their iPhone smartphone in the Indian market.

Instead of relying upon partnerships with mobile operator and a few major resellers, they have partnered with companies with wider presence throughout the country.

Redington and Ingram Micro are two of these new partners which would be selling the iPhone through their extensive network in the market.

Apple iPhone 5 is expected to go on sale in India later this month. Pricing is going to remain pretty high in the range of Rs. 45-55000.

The company has already dropped the prices of their existing products in India. Apple iPhone 3GS has been discontinued. Apple iPhone 4 8GB is now the cheapest model at Rs. 26,500. Apple iPhone 4S pricing starts at Rs. 38,500.

I am not sure however if this new strategy is going to work well for them. Discontinuing the iPhone 3GS model would hurt them a lot because it was selling in good numbers at prices below Rs. 20,000. It seems unlikely right now that iPhone 4 would get another price cut bringing it to similar levels.

  4. ^^ sir please do a detailed review of pantech burst with ICS ..if possible

I will try but I am no good with writing reviews but I will share major points. :)

Congratulations MG! PM me please about the unlocking bit. Bit apprehensive about sending my IMEI to an EBay seller for unlocking, would prefer to do it myself using any tool.

Don't worry it is safe, I bought unlock code from the following seller and it came within 5 minutes.

BTW, there is a seller at ebay.in also for Rs.50/-.

  6. Mg bhai I know s3 is awesome but this is pure Google experience, don't sell it, rather keep as secondary number, you won't regret because this is a great phone....just my 2 cents. Please no offence. Anyway good luck with sale. :)

In fact, S3 white was an impulse buy and I realised that I will be happy with Galaxy Nexus and planned to sell S3. I bought it for 40k (38.5k + 1.1k for insurance & extd warranty + case + screen protector). I wanted to sell it for 34-35k then BANG. Samsung reduced the price of S3 to 35k. I had no other option to use S3 or sell at 30-31k. I opted to use it.

So, Galaxy Nexus in Buy/Sell thread. :)

  7. 1. Probable date around nov 1st week or summer vacation.

    2. Budget : 1-1.5lac for 2a+1c of 4yrs including everything for a 6-7 day tour

    1. Considering this is my 1st foreign holiday, should i prefer package tour or get my bookings done myself.

    2. Considering I'm with a 4yr kid, am i right in preferring group package tour over individual customized package tour.

    3. Which locations would be preferred in my parameters.

    4. Which tour operator.

    Hi Hitesh.

You have a good budget, don't worry. With my experience of 3-4 package tour and 2-3 self planned tour, I will try to answer your questions.

1, You should prefer package tour. After going out, specially with family and a small kid, you don't want to waste time in finding good (or Indian) food, cabs, locations. You will be confused what to seee and what to leave. You will spend almost 1/3rd of your day in logistics and trying things. It will be expensive also. Whereas in package tour, all the must visits places will be covered plus you have free days to cover your own preferred places and for shopping, etc. Just make sure you book your package with all means(if not, at least all dinners, breakfast is anyways included in all the plans), even if you pay 4k extra per person, you are going to save at leastt 15-20k in total.

    2. I think it is covered in point one. No?

    3. Location... depends, if you want a peaceful vacation, nothing comes close to Mauritius. If you want high rise building, brigt shining lights, massive infrastructures, lots of shopping of clothes, electronics - Singapore+Malaysia (one package) will be good. All these are will be in your budget.

    4. Well, in Delhi, there is DPauls Travels. Don't know if you can coordicate with them from Jalgaon. They are quite good. At times, you will be upset of very minor things but when you come back you will not remember anything unpleasant. There are very reasonable too.

If you want to anything specific, please let me knopw here ot through PM. I have visited all the coutries suggested in my/ others' posts. :)
