Hi i got a call from reliance (01133335268)and i was asked a number of questions like what i do, how long i have been living on my address, whether i own a vehicle or not, and then asked me if i had a net connection or not. I asked what it was all about. The person told me that relince was going to lauch its Broad band service. and they are going to provide the connection free to post paid users, did anyone else get such a call?

I got a call on 10th sept from a friend in New Jersey nad it had Bombay reliance number displayed. That was long before the number change thing started, so i guess it is not related to the new nuberin scheme

Hi saurav i might be interested in selling the camera. Though i paid 2000 bucks, price of course is negotiable, but as for the quality i hope u know and there will be no complaints later. i will tell u when i make up my mind fully, what say?

I have been using DAP as well for a long time and i am quite happy with its performance

one day is good for u? well this phone has a talk time of less than 90 minutes, so if u get a call that has a talk time of say 15 minutes or so, ur standby comes tumbling down to les than a day, and charging a battery more than once a day is annoying. moreover we all are finding ways to extract talk time out of our phone ( by using methods such as keeping the backlight off, decreasing the sub LCD contrast) one of the members said he was able to make the phone last for 44 hours, by recieving only two calls, sending one sms etc, . now the purpose of paying money for a mobile phone is not to make the phone last longer by hook or by crook but to enjoy all the features of the phone. are trying to please ourselves by saying that we "can" or we are "able to" make the phone last longer? I think more than anything else this phone needs a battery upgrade.

Guys, is there anyone who has got a cover for GTRAN 4020 or a leather case kind of a thing? The phone is too delicate to be exposed to all the wear and tear. Also where can we get the transparent tape kind of thing that is attached to the screen when u buy a new phone, that protects it from scratches. Kindly please tell if anyone knows

yes dude i have faced the same problem, there is no way to trace this call, u have to make sure u see it when it beeps otherwise it is gone forever

even i got a call from 30333333 but i could not attend the call and there were three missed calls, maybe they were going to convey the same thing to as they did to saurav

is opera free? i have used firefox and find it really good! is there a link where i can find free opera

Do we need to reset r menu and/ or clear menu everytime a new thing is added to the menu or a change is made? it works sometime when u can not get the new items in ur menu and they are present in other phones

I dont have the link on my GTRAN phone, is it there on every other phone?

I hope they come up with citibank and other banks as well, so that it becomes easier for all of us. and hey anyone found yahoo messenger on their GTRAN, some people mentioned they are able to see the section but it does not work. I am unable to find it on my phone, if anyone has any idea please tell me

I think the samsung camera phone wil be a good thing to buy. I am not crazy about video camera phone and i have used samsung sch n 191, the features were good (though no phone can beat nokia when it comes to ease of use). can anyone point out any such problems with the samsung camera phone? guys please share ur experiences. also please tel me whether i should go for it or wait for some other models to pop up in the reliance schemes

yeah saurav help me too, i am also thinking on the same lines since all the efforts to get GTRAN working well have failed miserably. I am having a tought time deciding between LG and Samsung color handsets. Also since they have reduced the rates i think they will be introducing new handsets soon, so we might again fall in their traps as we did when GTRAn was offered at a favorable price.

still not working for GTRAN people neither is there the link for MMS in mesaging section

so MMS is not working with all the handsets, that menas we GTRAN people are not alone

The length for sms on gtran is 160 characters. and i think that should be the case in nokia as well, but GTRAN does not have group sms

I bought that handset even before i saw GTRAN ROCKS posts, because of the attractive pricing and because of the few reviews i read on other sites. I am really disappointed with the battery as i want it to last at least 2 days. that SMS thing is not much of a hassle for me though if corrected it will be good. The lack of a few R world applications especially railway reservation disappoint me. if that is not available because of a certain handset that i have and no other reason, i think it is the fault o f reliance, reliance people should be pulled up for that. That TRAI option is a good one. saurav where are u from? Chandigarh?

That message is always displayed when i switch off the phone and charge with a travel charger, and it is there from the very beginning not after 11 hrs
