i have been using 7000 (beta) and now 7100 for the last almost 10 days or so. While most of the flaws of vista are ironed out, there are a number of things that need to be taken care of before they release the final version. Explorer not responding is still seen, wireless network detection is actually worse. Meida player sometimes does not respond (may be compatibility issues with codec packs) requiring restarts at times. While it is definitely lighter than vista, I dont think you will be able to run it comfortably on a 1GB ram.

With hard reset he will still have the issues with too many programs even after a hard reset.

flash another lighter rom if you are comfortable doing that

I download these from ppcgeeks. Performance wise I wont say there is a great difference, rather they are memory hungry. The looks and styles are different and the overall feel is good. bbsandkm cooks some good roms on ppcgeeks. Stable and snappy, give it a shot if you like.

There are so many 6.5 roms that are not carrier specific that can be found. If you have reliance already installed, you dont need to do any programming.

It is a default feature in most of the builds of WinMo6.5. Never used it though I am on a 6.5 for over a month or more,

I am using it on moghul It does slow up the phone tremendously. Does hang more than usual as well. Wonderful graphics and few good changes as well.

Buggers have charged me extra for SMS (which upto 3000 are free under DAPO). Will call them up when I am in furious mood. All this while I was worried about data usage and merrily sending SMS.

Just now checked my billed and to my surprise, I have not been billed as much as I thought. Maybe they deducted later. I can not open the detailed bill as there is some error. My unbilled usage as on 31st March was 406 Rs. Since I am on DAPO, add to that 400 and other things and taxes roughly 150. So it should have been approx. 950 or so. But in any case not less than 800 (406+400) However my billed amount is only 774. But before I rejoice I must see the detailed bill. Anyways if i go through this Now I never had a subscription in the first place. And since I am on DAPO, I will not be charged NUC, so does that mean that accessing websites is free for me?
