i asked from people in reliance and found out that phones imported from abroad of course CDMA will not be able to work here in india as of now here is a portion of reply from chairmans office so please make sure that such a thing is oissibke before embarking on such an expensive evnture.

hi vikky, reliance has already launched it in delhi and we all have tested it as far back as november, check out other posts on this thread for more.

I am not going to be fooled because i am not going to buy a new handset. this i posted for the others and also see that the message says it is EXH ( exchange rates) so probably u will have to give back your old handset and get a fresh one.

yeah i too feel the same, though people have good intentions, the donations and help are often not streamlined or because of corrution they do not reach the actual needy. when they can make comission out of coffins for the armymen they can stoop to any level!

I think the schemes should also be properly advertized, not everything should be left to the fine prints and astrixes. Not telling that 3205 and 6225 do not have R world, isnt it wrong? I was not even told by the person sitting at Nokia outlet that R world is not there on 6225 and he was about to cut the bill slip when i stopped him and asked him about R world. He first avoided my query and then frowningly told me that it is not there on these phones. Isnt it their duty to tell that it is not there,when he is telling me in detail all the qualities of the phone? It was activated for 2-3 minutes and then deactivated using HCC. If u want the details i can PM u the details why and how it was done. It was an unprovisioned handset and now it is a deprovisioned one and can be used with a GSK. It was never used to make a call even and has the pack,battery and other thing with it.

it is available (6225) at the nokia showroom and costs around 10000. There is a guy from reliance sittnig there with HCC s and GSK s. Contact the nrearest Nokia authorized center or Nokia care center. I am in Delhi and it is available at one of the web worlds as well, though it is officially not launched as yet!

do u want only Nokia or are u ready to experiment with some other brand? I hope u know that R world is not available at present on Nokia phones!

After the process is over, the phone switches off and then onn. Is it so with all the people or is there some seting that can be modified and changed? Hi vandie I too recently bought this phone ( 2 days ago). Unfortunately there seems to be no solution to the two problems you mentioned about ie. the word wrap and the assign ringtone. at least for the moment there is no solution. as far as the ringtone thing is concerned, thereis a way using bitpim, but i could not download bitpim. i dont know how and from where i can do that. there is also a way, as described by code for sending ringtones using 1st smtp server. the ringtone can be heard but can not be saved in 7230. I think the veterans of this thread (7230), Lokesh and Niket can help on this Ringtone issue. Bythe way were u able to upload pics from ur PC using th link starter? what format are they to be in so they can be stored?

I talked to the people at nokia and they said tit might be available in future. when i asked them when, they had no answers. that is why i opted for 7230 and not 6225
