Hey

supernova is right

And more detaiils

Serial Data cable costs 250/- bucks

and Usb data cable is cheaper 150/- bucks

available with tata public office

But install the dialer software from relianceinfocomm.com

choosing the model and os

thats enough

Any more doubts

Both the cables are fine

You decide among which suits your os

I prefer usb for new systems if you are having usb2.0 ports with your pc

otherwise dont go for usb

old ports may not support some times

If you plan to use bitpim etc, then go in for serial cable only. USB is still not recognised by bitpim. for rconnect either one is good. you may decide on whatever suits you.

^^^

And one more thing to add. You will get the same speed with Serial and USB cable. No speed difference in my point of view my dear friend.

Regards.

@PUTTARAM

You are running two Threads with exactly same Question. I have already given a detailed Description on which cable to use for Modem connectivity. Also given a details of my very famous Cable Guide existed since Dec 1997 (very soon the page will be 10 years old)

http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=10752

Do not run two threads at the same time with same questions. Why I am telling you that both topics are started by you only. Why?

Both cables are different in technology and nature. Cost should not be a problem for features. Read this thread >>>http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=10752

MODERATORS please merge this TOPIC with http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=10752

Do you all know the topic starter PuttamReddy started 3 topics with same subject on same day and all 3 are floating in first forum page. Should we keep replying in all three threads?

@C. Mahendra

My dear friend, actually he started 4 thread with the same topic. One of which is already been closed by the moderators. But these 3 threads must be merged.

@PUTTAMREDDY

My dear friend, asking the same questions in different / many threads does not looks good. After all it will affect your reputation in this forum. You had recently joined this forum. So, as a senior member to you I'm advising you not to post same threads with different Topics. Otherwise you will loose your reputation with this forum.

We need good members like you. First of all search the forum and then only post the thread.

Regards.
