Windows 7 Ultimate 7100 Expiration Date.

Recommended Posts

I am running a windows 7 ultimate 7100 (Activated by a genuine key) on my assembled pc.which is showing expiration date 0f 02-03-2010.(start-run-winver)

But in windows7 manager 1.1 (Software) when i click on expiration date for current licence state ,it shows "this Machine is permanently activated".Can someone explain this difference of expiration dates?

I am attaching the screenshots.

well, most probably u will get an update from microsoft around the expiration time which will lock your windows as per their terms and conditions....

Remember expiration dates: Please plan ahead for when the RC expires. You'll get two weeks' notice, and then beginning on March 1, 2010, your PC will start shutting down every two hours. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. To avoid interruption, you'll need to rebuild your test PC to replace the OS with a valid version of Windows, and reinstall all your programs and data before the software expires.

u are using a cracked version of Windows 7.

Microsoft can detect it and deactivate it any time.

There's been one version of w7 rtm stolen from ibm thats already made to the chinese pirated markets.... even before their official rtm release... lol

but they are fully gearing up to deactivate the key which users can pair with a certain hack to install and use the os.........

r u on a pirated version or the official one downloaded from the official net link?
