Recommended Posts

Dear Rimweb member,

I had purchased Galaxy Y CDMA i509, Dowloaded Latest Kies Software and Samsung Driver also. But after plugging the mobile Kies Software can't detect the mobile.

samsung drivers are notorious or there can be some conflicting drivers on system, check on other computer or with other cable first

It's no big issue here. If you installed latest Kies, uninstall it install a little older one. (Kies a must for firmware downloads). Also you can use Droid explorer which is a universal Google suite. And Huawei's Hi-suite is also recommended. Hi-suite will automatically instal hi-suite apk on whatever handset. All the best.

First I had old Kies in my PC. So it didn't work so installed a new Version. I want to syncronize my Contacts from CSV file so wanted KIES. Can Droid Explorer do it???

Had done both, Checked on the other computer and used another cable also. But no success.

Import the csv to gmail. Sync your gmail account via WiFi or mobile data. If csv data goes to notes field in gmail, there is a tutorial for that on RIMweb. PC sync is no longer a trend for PIM backups. Again, if you still want to use Kies, try different versions install and uninstall, trial and error.
